SDS100/SDS200: sds100 filters

hi any help please best filter settings on sds 100 especially uhf scanner initial setting and then individual deprartments groups etc im working on it but still get high squelch noise levels interference and hard to hear transmissions .

ok thank you just discovered i cant pick up new jersey state pd im only 3 miles from mahwah picking up rockland p 25 phase 2 fine always got njsp great anyone have any ideas are they encrypted?

Are you still trying to scan the 800 MHz NJSP Type II system? That system is dead, so you need to scan the nearest NJICS site to pick up NJSP activity. For you that would probably be the Passaic County simulcast cell, there is a subsite in Ringwood. Just note that you are no longer going to hear all of northern NJ like you could with the old system, you'll only hear talkgroups that are active on whichever site you're scanning.

ok another question i set my modulation to wfm i see a lot more channels coming up but my constant static interference is horrible trying multiple filters any suggestions appreciated

WFM for public safety frequencies? No.

WFM or Wideband FM would be used to recieve FM radio broadcasts...
Like the FM radio in your car...
