I am running Main 1.23.03 SUB 1.02.05 in my 2 SDS100's and my SDS200 and I am seeing very stable P25 P1 & P2 DMR S1 & S2 and NXDN

Running the new firmware and seeing good results so far on 2 700mhz P25 systems that were coming in frustratingly bad before. UIDs are coming up consistently and no errant UIDs which is a funny problem that used to happen with one particular system. I will be attempting to pull in State of Delaware Public Safety Motorola Smartzone System in the coming days. I'm also anxious to see what my SDS100 does on a UHF T-Band conventional system that used to be barely perceptible while other equipment like the Unication G3 and Whistler TRX 1 came in almost perfect. More reports to follow!

Thanks, since I only have one county with simulcast nearby and most of it is encrypted except automated fire dispatch, that leaves me with just P25 phase 1 systems or vhf, which all work ok with the original Dec. upgrades.

After updating late last night, I’ve noticed that audio on fire departments and med units is totally clear as opposed to previous garbled audio now and then. Also, must’ve done something for encrypted PD as I’m seeing more activity although you can’t hear it.

So far, my p25-p1 seems to have clearer modulation. The analog is clearer also, with a lot less static with the transmissions. I'm going to load up my DMR and NXDN to checkout.

Updated the Sub so far seems to greatly reduce scanner stopping to a TG with no audio heard on weaker towers. Which was basically the main issue I had with the last version.

My update RISCON 800mhz P-25-P1 trunk sounds good, Motorola Type II Smartzone 800mhz analog trunk sounds good and conventional P-25 and analog UHF sound good and clear.

Would this sub folder update be part of usual Sentinel update process ? Currently I am on FW 1.23.03 and i can hear occasional garble on a few P25P2 talk groups.

Yes use Sentinel to do the update sub firmware to 1.03.05, the main firmware is 1.23.03 that will not change.

If you loaded the test FW (1.23.03A) updating the sub via Sentinel will keep that version. So the IQ vs 4FSK will still work.

I'm assuming they are compatible.

One thing I have noticed is audio from say a med
Dispatch channel and the display showing a completely different talk group? Crazy 😜. However it is intermittent and haven’t been able to duplicate unless it just happens by it self.

It could be that Uniden have tried to both loosen up the tolerances of digital decode and tighten it to see what works best, the same they did with RF gain and then choose what worked best for the majority of people. Too loose decode parameters will allow more to be decoded but will also create more false data.

I have also noticed more of no audio ENC talk groups pop up. This might validate what Ubbe is saying. Slight RSSI improvements on the only P25P2 system with the 2 sites that I am monitoring.
