Am looking into buying the SDS100, I have heard some good things about it and some bad things about it, what is every ones opinion on this radio ?

Do we really need another thread polling for opinions? I'd suggest clicking on any green SDS100 topic filter as shown here and scrolling through to find the many many many similar threads. This will filter many of the reviews, questions, issues, concerns, etc for your perusal. With that said, I love mine

Dothan is using a 800 MHz simulcast system. The SDS100 would be excellent for that.

I've had mine for maybe a year.
Never any hiccups, or issues. Programming is a learning curve coming from whistler but i got it after awhile(lots of videos watched)

Don't 2nd guess yourself JUST BUY IT RIGHT NOW
