SDS200 not scanning Systems that are in a Favorites list

I recently noticed that entire systems are not being scanned in my SDS 200 when scanning via a Favorites list.

For example, I have a Favorites named "Dispatch near" and added four systems to it in Sentinel-
Los Angeles, California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles World Airports and Interagency Communications Interoperability (ICI)

Within that last system, I added two Departments (Dispatch for Fire and Dispatch for Police).

I see it in Sentinel no problem. However, as soon as I set that Favorites List to scan, that last system does not scan at all, and is not a choice via the function/scroll wheel. What's super confusing, is that if I go into the Menu to "Manage Favorites", I see the system just fine in there.

I've already ensured it's not set to Avoid. I've also ensured that all my "Service Types" are set to on. I've tried deleting them and re-adding them via Sentinel, I've tried overwriting my Favorites list ("Erase Favorites List on Scanner" via Sentinel), I've tried "Clear User Data" and then re-writing the Favorites list and I've tried even formatting the entire SD card.

This is happening with two different systems- LAWA and ICI. I am at a loss. Any help appreciated.

Are they set to both “download” and “monitor”?
Yep.

I even tried setting that System to "Priority", then going back and putting Priority Scan on (it's the only System/Dept with Priority so I thought I'd see what happens in that circumstance) and it says "Nothing to Scan".

Press Menu. Scroll to Set Scan Selection (press E) > Select lists to monitor (E)
Choose favorites list(s) in question and ensure they're turned on
If you assigned quick keys at the FL and system level they need to be enabled as well
Lastly at least one talkgroup needs to be programmed in for each system to be able to be scanned (can't tell from your screenshot if you have talkgroups programmed) or ID search turned on in absence of talkgroups

Both of the systems in question that dont work are P25 Trunked and the two systems that work are "Conventional".

Maybe coincidence but thought that may be helpful.

Yep, that's the first thing I checked.

I don't recall assigning quick keys, and don't see any quick keys as assigned via Sentinel nor in the scannerScreenshot 2023-05-23 at 11.20.20 AM.png

My apologies, I got it figured out.

I remembered that every time I added even just one channel from "South Bay Reg..." it would add all this other junk that I did not want (Beverly Hills, Burbank, Culver City, Glendale/Pasadena, Glendora, etc.)

I figured I'd delete the system and re-add it, but not go in and remove all the junk I did not want- that solved it.

Well that "junk" are the sites required to make a trunked system work. You probably want to avoid or delete some of these that are not in your area or assign quick keys to be able to toggle any of them on/off. BTW this pretty much follows with what I guessed above in post #7.

Yeah, I have no idea how trunked systems work. I just barely got to understanding "Systems", "Departments" and "Channel" hierarchies.

I've been told I'm pretty intelligent, and this stuff hurts even my head o_O

Same with TACN system on the SDS200 in Nashville. Some agencies just scan by without stopping. Like TDOT HELP.

If you continue to get the error, look for "Nothing to Scan" in the manual or a thread with that topic here. The same things that cause a Nothing to Scan situation could also keep a System from being scanned.

Also, another angle for you to consider so you don't scan all the "junk" is to set Location Control to On. Let the scanner turn off those sites too far away. (It was designed to do just that think for those reasons).
