Sentinel: Sentinel Master Database

OK, I'll admit it. I don't get frustrated with software, it gets frustrated with me. 2 questions that are probably obvious somewhere, but I can't find the answers. 1: If I open Sentinel, load the latest master database and close, is the database saved, or do I need to do a file save before closing? 2: Where can I look to see what version or date the loaded/saved database is? These questions are in regards to what is in my pc, not to what is in my sds200. I think I know the answer to #1, but not #2, but my wife will tell you I'm always wrong, so there's that.

1) It's saved automatically. If you make changes to your Favorites, it prompts you to save those when you close them
2) Bottom left hand corner of the software shows the data of the last database update

Also if you don't write the database to the radio it won't be updated there, it will only be updated on the computer.
