You had better check your antenna connections.SJFD has NOT moved and will not move to 700 MHz. for about 3 years. And nothing has changed with them as they are still on VHF Band. All of SJFD does have the new APX 7000 portable radios, but the system isn't build yet in San Jose.

Thanks. That's the reason I asked. After reading through this thread, I was under the impression that they were still a long way off from converting over; however, I stopped hearing them where I used to and I hadn't changed any of my equipment.

The only San Jose(ish) department currently on the system is San Jose ACS. Not sure if KMH603 can confirm, but i'm guessing the APX radios SJFD has are programmed with the South Bay interop talkgroups.

Just an update, regarding my question above. I seem to be hearing them fine now on the frequencies where they are supposed to be. I'm not sure what was going on. I monitor during my layover in San Jose (I'm a railroad conductor) and am often pretty tired at that time...

They are active. Sounds like they are doing the patch transition like Sunnyvale did last year. Seeing console ID and one or two field radios so far.

764.35625,764.46875, 770.08125 MHz. These are not listed in RR. It is because as Santa Clara County adds more repeaters and agencies, it will add more Frequencies. Soon there will be Dispatch Center consolidation starting in north end of County and eventually everyone merging. I hear the next agencies to move are the northern Santa Clara County agencies. San Jose is looking at 2018 to move to this system. Currently they are building out this system which will be Countywide. Levi Stadium in Santa Clara uses the Law Tac channels in 700 MHz. during large events.

Just wondering where you gathered the information that dispatch centers will be consolidating?

The database has been updated with the new frequencies.

These cities are part of the west simulcast cell (site 001). They will be adding more voice frequencies to this site, which will not require any programming changes. However, they will eventually add more simulcast cells (sites) to the system, which will require additional programming to monitor.

Stealthguy05: San Jose Fire has all 8 Bay Area Counties 700 MHz. frequency plan programmed into their APX7000 radios. Soon everyone in the Bay Area including Cal-Fire SCU will be on 700 MHz. San Jose Fire has about 30 Banks programmed into their radios which covers everything Fire in VHF and 700 MHZ. for the Bay Area and Nation wide.

I figured out that Unitrunker was calculating a couple of these frequencies incorrectly. The correct frequencies are:

770.08125
771.40625
771.85625
772.15625 - alternate
772.30625 - control channel
772.45625 - alternate

I've been trying to monitor the TGID 3551 for a while now to ID the user. It sounds like water department type comms. I know that Santa Clara Valley Water District is going to be using the system, however it sounds like the locations are only in San Jose. Has anyone else heard this?

I noticed a bunch of frequencies were added for Site 2, but no control channels are listed. Is this site online yet, or were the frequencies submitted based on license data? If so, they should be removed until the site actually goes online.

Yes. No.
