Today Yamhill County Law Agencies switched over from the old Multicast system to the Simulcast system.

It seems like the main law channel is 460.1875 PL 97.4 with an input of 465.1875, my scanner decoded the PL on the input to be something like 178.5 or 175.8, some weird number- I was driving so I didn't get a good look. I got the input while I was in McMinnville. While driving home through Carlton and Yamhill, I stayed on that same 460.1875 and the volume level varied a bit but I still had a good signal, there was never any static or faint white noise.

Within the month I have found 3 frequencies that all seem to be in use with 97.4 and that were all former individual repeaters, at the time I heard something on them, it was usually NOAA weather Portland being patched in, probably so that techs could drive around to find any dead zones and roller coaster noise areas.

Basically, I know that they are using some of the same frequencies, but I'm not sure they have added some new ones or not. On the fourth, there was a parade in Willamina and a sergeant asked all of his involved units to switch to "LTAC4". And during Sheridan days, they were using "UCALL A DC" - those are both (at least the UCALL one) probably nationwide mutual aid frequencies that they have set up. The dispatcher did say the ucall was "on the simulcast system" but I couldn't hear anything on any mutual aid uhf frequencies, maybe dc stands for direct and not doane creek. Thats what first came to mind.

Sounds like they swiched Rx pls to, they used to be 136.5

I have this freqs that were used before swich to Simulcasting.

453.5125
453.8125
460.1000
460.6250
453.5500
460.2750-
460.1875-
460.4125-

I haven't been in that area for few months now, and i never heard any fire freqs. But the 3 freqs with lines were heard and 460.1875 sounds like is used as main now.

Yep, that's pretty much the same as what I've got down. Where I live though, I cant hear anything from the Doane Creek tower, So I never tracked down any Doane Creek or Spirit Mountain frequencies. I heard noaa on 460.1000 and 460.2750. .2750 is the old Bald Peak Law and I don't think 460.1000 was in use. I think 460.4125 was the old Mountain Top Law.

Anything from this point on that anyone hears on the frequencies now is probably going to be techs getting all the Fire simulcasting ready, I bet they will have fire units switch to UHF Common, just like the law agencies did for awhile- and I'm guessing that fire will have a bunch of tactical frequencies.

Looks like a up dated freq list for Yamhill county is needed.

Correct, 460.1000 hasn't had a peep out of it. 460.4125 was the Mountain Top law. I can no longer hear it, but rather 460.1875 PL 97.4.

Grand Ronde (Mount Hebo) has one frequency pair: 460.2375 / 465.2375 via ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WQIZ751 - YAMHILL, COUNTY OF.

As for the UHF interop frequencies...that's a mystery. The only thing I can think is that they were simplex, so it wasn't bouncing off the repeaters. As far as I know, there is no LTAC4 for nationwide interop. Yamhill County does have a license set up for VCALL/VTAC, UCALL/UTAC, and 8CALL/8TAC. The frequencies were listed as "Mobile, Yamhill County".

Getting REALLY HORRID reception right now. I wonder if I'm picking up Bald Peak and not Mountain Top? Can't tell for certain...

EDIT: Just got a hit off of 453.3625 PL 118.8...that, I believe is part of McMinnville's MPT1327 system. I have only heard that once before, and that was during good weather.

Yeah I'm pretty sure all the other event channels were simplex. I'm sure someone would have heard something.

And yeah, I know that 460.4500. 453.3625, and 453.1000 all come off of High Heaven, with a PL of 118.8 and 460.0375, 460.2625, and 460.5875 are all from the fire tower in mac, or at least some far away tower, sometimes both High Heaven and the other frequencies are being mirrored but most of the time I can only hear High Heaven.

Is It bad that Im anxious for some crazy call to happen so that we can find out some other channels? ;-)

YCSO and UTac

Why does YCSO have Pl's on the Utac and Ucall frequencies. This are interoperability frequencies for multi-agencies. Would other outside agencies chasing someone into Yamhill County be able to talk to YCom 911 with the tones active??

That template that ORE posted is for more than just Yamhill County-it seems like they send those out to every public safety agency in the surrounding area- but it does seem a little wierd that they have their own pl tones for the common frequencies. Because if you have UCALL and UTAC or VTAC and VCALL....any mutual aide national frequencies, if they have a tone at all, it is supposed to be set in the radios that input to repeater is 156.7 and output is CSQ, so even if a county did have a different output tone, you would still be able to hear each other... all the other agencies that I have seen that actually have the mutual aide channels in place, all have the 156.7 tones. But then again- RR only posts info for output tones.

Also I dont think Ycom monitors all the channels 24/7. They probably mute the audio on the feeds most of the time. So maybe its so people like us cant use the repeaters? LOL!

and for Baker845, MacPD has always had a conventional channel in case something happens to the trunked system and its always had that 97.4 vibe and a couple days ago they were on conventional, but I think they were having trouble.

YCOM New radio templet

Okay.. I left the UHF system they were already using in my scanner and programmed in the new templet today with the newer PL's. Willamina (West Valley Fire District) got a brush fire this afternoon off Hebo Rd. Tapout was on VHF as usual, but fireground was as follow ;

460.050 pl 167.9 scratchy reception
453.2375 pl 167.9 very clear
453.8375 pl 167.9 fairly okay
same traffic on all three frequencies being simulcasted.

nothing on the new templet frequencies with the tone of 97.4.

460.1625 pl 167.9 heard law enforcement "850 unit" saying he was in Mac for awhile.

So.. i guess they are not using the new radio system templet yet.

Yeah I heard that same brush fire today, and I heard Brush 82 or something going to the call and he keyed up on the simulcast system first with no response from ycom, and then he went to uhf fire, also yeah they were using the law side of the system for a couple days but now they are back to common- last minute changes maybe??

To ORE007, Do you have the old Multicast Police/Fire Template? That would be helpful.
