on the SIRN website shows the approved list of radios. you must have one of those radios to be on the system.

Been awhile, you'd have to go back to 2004 in the beginning of Interop thread. I'm in Berkeley County, Martinsburg. Waiting on soon to arrive BCD436HP. Should be back posting soon.

Used to be a jesse rabbit on This WV forum, Same one here is this you Bubba1661? OK first report on the BCD436HP and WV Inter-ops. WOW, The high hiss I used to get with the Radio Shack Pro-96 is not there, great audio, great tone. When I first unpacked it, I entered the local zip code and entered, I was getting Stars, Penn, Md. Virginia, the range blew me away. The Sentinel software is tough having come from The Radio Shack scanners. It's still BETA, only hope it gets a little more simplified.

Something new, This BCD436HP is not only new but the last Bearcat I owned was back in 1979 and it was a 4 Chrystal handheld. I was thrilled with it. Having worked with Files, Banks, Channels and a different programming software. So I'm enjoying learning the new radio, Well? Enjoy it when I DO figure out something, but this is the fun to the hobby. It's quiet here on the W.V. forum, but I wonder if we could work together finding Federal systems and Homeland Security, Regional Response Teams, and other talk groups relating to the When the SHTF. I think between Amateur radio and scanning I'm more prepared for a major event.

Folks - I just heard something on Mason County analog about their digital being out of service, possibly due to a generator being stolen from one of the sites in another area, possibly Malden. Anybody else notice an outage?

System down?

Huntington PD and others are operating with minor problems.
They are also commenting about the system down in Charleston.
I think the microwave hauls a lot of data back and forth for license checks and stuff.
Putnam seems to be up. So is Wayne.
Malden is a hub of some sort.
There was a lot of lightning about 0330 this morning.
