Chad,

Even if you can't hear it direct, you can always run Unitrunker on a site that you think would be a neighbor of it. If it is on line, it'll show up in the peer list of a neighboring site :)

Mike

Yes I forgot about that. I don't have Unitrunker but do have Pro96Com. I'll run it on Cottle and let you know. Our center was waiting for this site to come online so then we would have coverage in the eastern part of the county:)

Oops, sorry about that. Pro96Com is great. That'll do the trick.

Although if Quinwood is so close to you that it would provide coverage in the eastern part of the county, I'm guessing somebody from SIRN would have already notified agencies in your county that it was available for use.

Mike I would say you are right. The last I heard it was still not online. Also the last two times I've been up north I didn't get a Control Channel from the Roanoke Site. It looks like it's been completely built since it sits right off the Interstate in that area.

TG 4929 off Kearneysville tower with a couple unit ID's 425124 and 421424. 4929 is Boone Co OES Office of Emergency Services. Seems to be a dispatcher doing "Law Talk" Anyone have any Ideas?

4929 is Boone Co OES but the Sheriff's Office has been using it from the get go.

4929

What got me wondering was Boone County uses 4200's for talk groups. So why would the Sheriff's office use the 4929. So it could be another county using that talk group, unless you have heard Boone county mentioned with the 4929. Thanks

Boone County is the only one using the 4929 group. It and 4296 used by the school system are the only two talk groups being used by Boone County. I do not think EMS or most FD's have the SIRN radios installed.

The OES/911 talkgroups transmit statewide instead of just in the local area, so they can come in handy when a Sheriff or EMS unit is in another part of the state for a transport, investigation, etc. and they want to communicate with their dispatch.

TG's 6852, 6853, 6854 and 6855

Anyone know what 6852, 6853, 6854 and 6855 are used for? Showed as active on my logs of the Berkeley County site last night.

Hey guys, I was wondering if I would be able to pick up Kanawha County talk groups in the southern part of Raleigh County. I already have them in my scanner and it is showing I have good signal strength on my scanner but I never pick anything up

Whise

Nice to meet you:) Your best bet for hearing Kanawha Co traffic would be if you are able to monitor the Pax/Mossy Site, it carries some Kanawha Co TGs. Other than that you wouldn't hear anything unless their was a Kanawha Co Unit affiliating with one of the Sites in Raleigh Co.

Hi
I'm in Ashland KY and caught two new talkgroups 4711 and 9277. Looking in the database I am pretty sure 4711 is in Wayne county it fits in their range. But I have no idea about 9277.
Thanks

TG 4711 is not in my list.

The TG xx11 seems to fall under a City Police Dept. within a county. This is what I found this to be in my research.

I'm in the same boat Bert. I have my antenna and coax but no mast poles. I will have it up soon though.

I just came across a new Talk group 5493, sounds like it may be Bluefield city transit, can anyone confirm it. I got the hit off the Flattop tower
