Boy Just got home and checked my log, Wood/Wirt Co 911 was very active today. They were all over my WIN500 Log.

New Talk Groups

Has anyone been monitoring these TG's: 8501, 8509, 8538, and 8564. I'm hearing radio checks on TG 8501. Talking to a Captain from a van on top of a mountain. I will keep trying to figure these out. Any help would be appreciated.

I caught 8501 this morning,very brief talker caught something about Oak Hill and Montgomery,lit up 2 more times after that without a word being said(My eyes were closed but was listening to the traffic on my scanner when my wildcard started flashing alerting me to the talkgroup to save)

Thanks Bert, I just heard them again. They said " Everything Clear here at the Rocks, Nothing Happening Here, FLA 2 Out " Sounds like Scout's Stuff.

It might be possible,but I hope that they light up more,so we can tell who they are....they just need to talk more,I'm just glad I was able to catch this one!

They just did a full radio check with all FLA units. They said to be back at ( I Guess ) at the CP at 12:15p to change shifts. No clue.

Now all units going back to Echo because of rain. Sounds like WVNG too. Good military radio etiquette. Maybe CAP too.

other than the 8501 and a couple of Charleston stuff this morning,it's been a rather quiet day listening in with the SIRN,with lots of stretches of nothin' LOL(I get 9011,9019,and 9344 alot but I've locked those out)

Silly Question

OK, stupid question, but I want to be sure
when I program this system in my PRO-106,
i only put in the frequncies for the counties/areas i need, set it like a multi-site system and set it for roam??
correct, I live in PA (fayette county, PA), and come into WV once in a while.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I programmed mine I used the information from Mark's Scanners set the system to roam and threshold high to 95 Threshold low 50 Pick up great the 106 manual at marks helped me a lot.

WV DMAPS FUS1 is what I have on TG 9422. I heard them talking about the weather and conditions in the state.

8548,and 8555 just a little while ago,I think all those are related to the boy scouts but I am not quite sure...glad I am on my long weekend and able to catch these...keep'em coming whoever you are....
