Something went wrong posting this. Possible duplicate. Brother has a 536 with my programming (mirrored) from mine. He's getting a Site Hold in his display. Tried the Function/Dept buttons to clear but will not clear. Monitor/Download on. All service types on. Do I need to clear user data on "his" scanner? Works fine on mine. He does have "multiple little fingers" at his house.

I guess you could clear His Radio and retry programming it with your profile. Strange problem but somebody's going to know what to do here. Quick question do you have any of the upgrades especially nxdn and he doesn't. If so did that get programmed into His Radio also. Just asking.

That wouldn't hurt anything to do that with the user data in the software. There could have been some corruption in the programming file you sent and if pressing the Function + Department key doesn't clear the Site Hold, and if he can't get it turned off, you might even try reading your radio again and sending a fresh file to see if that helps?

Doc and trentbob, I agree with both of you. Something must have gone wrong "writing" or corrupt. I'll try a re-write first. If that doesn't work I'll wipe the card. Just strange things happened because it works as designed on my radio.

I wonder if the 'busy little fingers' had managed to get the scanner into both Site as well as Department hold. In any event, a fresh re-write of the card, or wipe, may be your easiest remedy.

UPDATE: I was the problem. Finally got the scanner here. When I created "his" profile, I didn't enter a zip code or range. All good now. Luckily had programming on 2 computers and was able to look at our 2 profiles side by side to see my error.
