Recently Bristow, Coweta and Owasso were removed from the OKWIN system and Coweta and Owasso were moved to the new OKWIN P-25 system with Owasso freqs not changing and Coweta’s missing 2. Only problem is I’m still hearing anolog traffic on Owasso’s old site, not sure about Coweta or Bristow yet.
Is anybody else still hearing anolog traffic on the OKWIN sites that have been removed or not?

Here is DSD from the Coweta site. The other day there were only four frequencies active. Now it looks like they added in 851.575. No other control channel found for the old system.

Owasso appears to have a channel or two not in the database as well. What control channel do you have for the old site that you are hearing stuff on?

In Owasso I heard 853.8875, I'm going to try again tonight if I get time to get some more on that traffic, Thanks for the Coweta info, I haven't had a chance to check it. What replaced Bristow's OKWIN site?

Is anyone surprised by this? ALL the analog sites will eventually be replaced by non-EOL equipment and that equipment will support whatever is the latest version of P25. It's only in scannerland where there are "two systems". If you have a modern "subscriber unit", it talks on whatever tower is closest.

Not surprised at all. It's been in their master plan for several years now. If anyone monitors OKWIN on any site that is still analog I would be saving up for a P25 scanner. Tulsa is pretty much done. Coweta last I heard was almost done, as well as Jay and Disney. I think they are working on Big Cabin, Miami, Pryor, and then going to work their way back down the turnpike slowly into into OKC. Analog will soon be no more.

The list of sites in OKWIN surely shrunk in the last few years. Going to take Oklahoma city awhile. Awaiting a Final hearing on zoning for FS4 because residents in that neighbor objected to the construction of a 250 foot lattice tower citing the dangers of lightning and high winds causing a tower to fall on their property and lightning jumping out at them from the tower. The permit to construct the tower has been met with delays. Took me a while to find it in the Oklahoma City agenda. It's dated August 27, 2019. Final hearing is set for Sept 24 2019 this Tuesday. This information is public record and anyone can find it on the okc.gov website. If approved it will be a special permit with special restrictions. The system needs to be fully in effect before any cutover can happen. Also they had to file a few extensions with the FCC. If deadline is not met they can automatically lose license. If a new statewide system is being built they have plenty of time to connect OKC to it.

I actually an excited for OKWIN to finished upgrading. I was in tulsa not long ago and was listening to Tulsa PD and FD and it sounds a lot better than analog in OKC. I normally love Analog audio but reception always seems scratch at times even when im in the middle of OKC with perfect signal strength.

Haven’t heard anything from the analogue Kellyville site for over a year

Oklahoma City SP-535 passed with City Council's unanimous vote. 14200 Hogback RD tower construction to commence.
