I was wondering if SnoPUD decommissioned the analog System because I am unable to pick up the analog control channel & I am hearing most/all their operations on the their DMR system.
I believe this is the case. It has been off the air for at least 2 weeks. The VHF Cap+ system used to be very quiet, but all of the routine traffic I would hear on the Motorola Type II system I now hear on their Cap+ system. Another analog system kicks the bucket - guess we'll be seeing that with SERS here really soon.
You are right. It is turned down. I tore out all of the 900 SmartNet equipment late last fall. It took a while to get to all the sites but it is all removed now.
I was surprised to run across these posts. I didn't expect anyone to be listening.

Sorry for reviving this thread but I didn't want to start an entirely new one for this single issue. Does anyone else have a lot of trouble tracking the Cap+ system on a Uniden? I'm on a 325P2 and miss a good chunk of transmissions. DSDPlus and SDRTrunk work just fine.
Edit: Reading up on other threads with similar issues, likely related to the scanner failing to capture most late entry messages.

Same issue here.
So, I use my Anytone 578 in DMR dual slot, blah blah blah.
There's no trunking, of course, so I hover on one or two frequencies and I hear what I want just fine during wind events.

Thank you for confirming. Reverting to firmware 1.11.03 seems to work the best - late entry probably gets picked up half the time, whereas 1.11.07 (latest firmware) does not pick it up at all. That's too bad, considering with 1.11.03 you don't get the improved Tier 3 tracking (which still has late entry issues on the Day Wireless T3 system, anyway). You fix something, you break something. Oh well.
