I dont want to purchase a DMR radio, and I have tried setting up sdrtrunk but it completely confused me. I am wondering if theres any software which I can connect my uv-5r via an audio cable to my raspberry pi and stream it to broadcastify?

They cost literally nothing, you can get a somewhat Better DMR/ Analog radio than that uv5r for Less than a $100 ,and way easier to program as well, so it would be a win/win for you. Beofang has the DM-1801 on Radioddity.com as well as TYT's that are considerably better than your uv5r.

Yeah a DMR radio would be better, but to be honest, im not looking to buy a new radio. I just want to listen to a few DMR channels for fun. Thats why im wondering if theres any software which can decode DMR from a soundcard then stream it to an icecast server.
