Has anyone replaced their SDS100 speaker with an aftermarket one? The factory audio is so poor.

The problem is the size of the speaker. Replacing it won't really help. When I was using my SDS100 in a 18 wheeler, I connected a Uniden powered ( amplified) speaker to the earphone connection on the top of the radio. It made a world of difference in the receive audio.

You're correct! The thing is too small. I was hoping someone found a better quality speaker.

N1GTL- A Baofeng UV-82 HP has (1) WATT of audio at $64.95 which is pathetic even though it is a CCR transceiver.
Yes, the Boafeng is a CCR with a single conversion tuner. And yes, Boafend doesn't make a P25 radio but come on, for $649.95, its a rip-ff!
BUYERS BEWARE as I saw a friends and it is terrible on analog too. The Bearcat BCD325P2 is much better for around $330 give or take.

The SDS100E have at least enough power to drive a low ohm Motorola GSN6035B at a volume setting of 5. Volume 15 are way too loud.
