DPS Ch 8 and good old KKI413 and associated units seem to be on the repeater this morning. Also some out of area unit numbers. All P25.

Do Tell! I hear they are going P25, but am only getting VHF analog here in Austin, (KKD303), though not as much as I was a few years back.
P25 could explain it as DPS scanner is dedicated Pro91 unit.

Control Freqs? Talk Groups? Hard to find in the Data Base...

DPS is P25 conventional, not trunked. There are no control channels. There are no scanners (as far as I know) that will handle P25 conventional mode talkgroups or NACs.
It is easy to find in the database:
155.44500 154.69500 KKI413 BM DPS 8 Elmendorf - Dispatch APCO-25

Well, I'm surely not the most informed person here. I thought P25 referred to Project 25 which is Motorola Trunked Digital. Appears that I am wrong...

Have the 155.4450 and 154.695 in the Pro06 with no hits. They won't be accepted in the old Pro91. (Pro 91 used to be great for DPS, but it's very poor lately.)

Please remove my confusion,
Jon

Project 25, in the way that everybody here refers to it, is just the use of IMBE modulation, the standard set by APCO for digital transmission. This digital modulation is used in VHF High Band, UHF, and 700/800 MHZ. Another term you may hear it go by is APCO CAI, or Common Air Interface. It can be Simplex, Half Duplex, Repeated, and of course trunked across any of these bands. There are VHF HI, UHF 406, 460, T-Band, and 700/800 Project 25 trunk systems nationwide, and the likewise single repeaters in these bands, minus 700 MHZ as of now, that are P25 conventional.
Back to the thread, glad to see San Antonio operational now in P25. That means it can't be too long before Bryan and Houston switch over in my little neck of the woods.
