where do i buy one or see what it looks like

I use a few of these:
RF Bay, Inc. LNA-1000
10 1000MHz Low Noise Amplifier LNA 1000 30dB Gain SMA | eBay

Or ............. for cheap:
One of the inline amplifiers 'may' help. Just make sure the bandwidth covers the frequencies you want to receive.
(But ....NOT one of the 950MHz-2GHz models!)

Something similar to this one. But, if you have strong signals nearby, they'll overload.

With those, you'll need a 12V wall wart power supply and a DC block on the input side of the amplifier.

I feed 32 radios using one of the LNA-1000 preamps. (Including my Broadcastify feed)

Most of mine are mounted right below the antennas.

Here's an older post that shows how I do it.

Or, if you use inline amplifiers, they're weather proof and.....
The coax carries the power to the preamp and the DC block on the antenna side of the amplifier prevents the voltage from going to the antenna.

SO IF i DO THE INLINE KIND WHAT WOULD I NEED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN BEFORE WINTER.idO i HOOK THE COAX TO ONE SIDE AND THEN RUN A 3 OR 6 INCH COAX FROM THE AMP OUT INTO THE ANTENNA???

You'll need something like one of these to block DC between the antenna and the input on the amplifier.
But remember, if you have strong local signals, you may have a problem with overload.
But, it's cheap enough to try out.

You'll also need a DC inserter (12-15Volts) to supply voltage up the coax to the amplifer.

Sorry about the delay getting back to you. My internet has been out since sometime last night.

You want to have your preamplifier as close to the antenna as possible.
On mine, I have about 3' or 4' of coax on the antenna and then the amplifier.

The preamp is first. Closest to the antenna.
Then the multi-coupler inside.
If you find that you have too much signal into the multi-coupler you can reduce it by adding a splitter ahead of the multi-coupler to reduce the signal.

I also have a few Electroline EDA-2800 multi-couplers inside and I don't have any problems.

A good test is that your weakest signals should sound better. If not, you probably have too much gain.
