3. Stark County Sheriff (Starcom)

*FD Units refer to dispatch as “52”

6. Alliance City (Central Dispatch)

This is a bit outdated. If you notice the bold under the Sheriff’s Office, Marlboro, Uniontown and Magnolia PD’s are all at Cencom, and have been for years.

I guess that explains why they haven't migrated yet ? Interestingly I could find almost zero useful information about Cencom online.

They have almost no public relations. They did/are buying a Marcs setup for their fd’s, who knows when they are switching over.

For all of you in Stark Co, if you know of a station number that identifies a specific police / fire / EMS agency within Stark Co, or some special radio moniker used when the agency references dispatch (or dispatch references the agency), please post it. This information is nowhere in the Wiki but would certainly be useful.

For instance:

13: Beach City Fire
15: Brewster Fire
45: Uniontown Fire
54: Greentown Fire
64: Wilmot Fire

I those are all of the ones that somebody has already covered in this thread.

Also, catching up on the thread there are lots of references to PD West and such. Those are gone on Marcs. Agencies have their own assigned dispatch channel, and there are “MAC” channels for large Pd and fire for events.

They are just numbered 1 through 12 and 1 through 4, not geographically assigned.

42 is Magnolia Fire
63 is Quad
I believe Mohawk is 10 or 100.

Canton city goes by CanCom. All of the other ones in the thread seem correct.

Thanks, Kent. Sounds like most departments don't use such numbering. So probably not even worth documenting at this point. I'm going to bail out of that project lol

So far it does look like most agencies (except for South Fire / South Police) have their own dedicated dispatch talkgroups thus far. And as Volfirefighter has pointed out, pretty much everyone seems to have a channel 2 (at least) . Still over half of the talkgroups seen during/since migration are unidentified. So there is a lot left to figure out over time.

Is there some other police agency dispatched along with Jackson Twp Police on JTPD DISP ? There are over 100 radios in use on that talkgroup. Seems like a lot for a township pd.

Hills & Dales Police but they cannot account for too many radios. Just a guess but maybe Glenmore Police / Security?

Maybe 100+ radios isn't too many for a township PD. It just seemed like it to me. I wasn't aware that Hills & Dales PD is dispatched / uses the Jackson Township Police talkgroup(s). More handy information to know. Thank you

I see two blocks (and perhaps more) of radio IDs being used on the Jackson Twp Police talkgroup:

7601253 - 7601360 Jackson Twp Police # I'm sure these are JT PD
7601483 - 7601492 Jackson Twp Police # maybe these are H&D PD

10 radios is about all Hills & Dales PD would need. They are very small

Look for Magnolia FD, Mohawk Valley FD, and Quad ambulance to be dispstched on one TG as well. They were always dispstched together on UHF. They switched to Stark SO for dispstching but have yet to migrate to MARCS. I see we have one TG identified as MOMAQD and one as Quad that I have heard Quad units testing coverage on.

TG 45036 is either CCPD TRAFFIC or CCPD TFC CTL. I heard guys on there who just referenced it as "Traffic", ex: "unit 30 on TRAFFIC". 30 was then calling "30 to 8016" or "30 to 81 and 6"

So I'm unsure if it is equivalent to the old (encrypted) CPD TRAFFIC car-to-car talkgroup or the old CPD TFC CTL traffic control talkgroup. It's one of the two.

TG 45036 update: Buddy of mine had a better recording where he was saying "30 to 81 on traffic control". They were lining up cars. I think probably they were doing a funeral escort.

Funeral went up Woodlawn. Three CPD in front and one in rear. Must be a retired officer.
