starting a stream

I'm thinking of starting a live stream of my home county(police,ems etc) and what do I need in addition to my Pro 2096 and my computer? Do I need a audio cable to hook to the scanner and the sound port(or do I need a separate sound card since I listen to music with my headphones?)

There's some really good information on the RR Wiki regarding what you will need to set-up a good sounnding feed. I've posted the link below for you. Basically you will connect the Pro-2096 to the sound input on your computer using an audio cable. The scanner feed will require it's own dedicated sound card. That can be the on-board card, a separate PCI card or a USB card.
