Lexington PD, where LEX 18 is located has been encrypted for decades. So you'd think channel 18 would have tried that in their hometown.

The people involved has lawsuits against the state the women mother got pulled in the driveway of her house and cop went off on the woman the lawyer is suing cause off what happened and they wants more transparency open to the public if y’all go on the news website you can see all about it

There for about year after the summer of love 2020 marches Lexington was half encrypted you could hear the units but the not dispatchers for the central talkgroup but now it’s back to full on encrypted

I’m hearing KSP radio traffic on TG18 today . They’re looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run. Officer told another unit to check an address on “12th Street.” Dispatcher is running license checks for units. This may already be on this thread, but I wasn’t going to scroll back 26 pages.

TG 18 is not KSP. It is another agency testing the system. 50001 is KSP FULL ENCRYPTION and is linked to KSP District 1 Mayfield.

Full encryption, ugh. The dispatcher’s voice on TG 18 was same as one at Mayfield KSP, so I mistakenly thought it was a KSP channel. Mayfield also dispatches for Lyon and Graves Counties, so maybe TG 18 is for one of those two.

Also, KSP will dispatch for some of the smaller localities. For example, Taylorsville PD in Spencer County, is handled through KSP Frankfort.

Wonder if 50001 is a talkgroup or perhaps a Radio/Console ID?
