JEDI61 doing laps around New York now relieved by KC10A 84-0188 ZOMBIE61 at FL240/360kts, talking to ZNY 282.3. Same 35mi circular track around New York. VC-25A 92-9000 descending into Kennedy also. Trump, Haley, Bolton, and Pompeo are already in town though and Pence is on the hill, so not sure what the deal is.

UN General Assembly this week. That's why the CAP re-centered more over NYC. Lots of foreign air force aircraft came in last night again.

Yup. Just wasn't sure why a VC-25A would be coming into Kennedy from Andrews when everybody was already there.

C-32 09-0016 as AF1 on the way to Wheeling, WV now. 125.65

16 miles away at 14k feet and I still got a visual on it over Germantown.

Had E-4B 73-1676 pass directly overhead inbound to ADW earlier when I was at my nephew's baseball game in Aldie. Callsign was not GORDO14 as displayed. Something ending with 88.

Odd that aircraft would be used as AF1. I would think any runway that can accommodate this plane could handle the 747 platform, too.

Looking at general specs for takeoff, a 747 needs at least 1000ft more runway. That's comparing a 757-300 to a 747SP. As I don't know the exact configuration for the C-32 or the 747 that gets designated as AF1, I can't say for certain. Looking at Wheeling, their largest runway is about 5000ft. Technically, neither plane should be landing or taking off from there. It's certainly possible tho as I doubt either are loaded to max capacity.

TERRA59 C32 00-9001 NJANG 150th SOS on 121.025 checking in climbing through FL150.

Also general interest, Nightwatch 73-1676 was out of Andrews a short while ago.

Thunderbirds inbound to MTN, just heard THUNDERBIRD1 with approach 254.25. Descending to 10k.
Req to split into flights of four and two.

Couple SAM GLF5/C37's into Dover earlier this evening along with a US Army GLF5.
Maybe VP or Brass meeting an inbound fallen soldier... Thursday a North Carolina NG soldier
was killed by roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
8:30pm local seem all have departed KDOV back to Andrews area after about 3 hours at Dover.
