I've just determined that AE5208 is Coast Guard 1721 a C-130. Just tracked it into McClellan AFB, home of Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento.

This one has a unique history.

Travis,

According to my info CG 1721 has been retired (in the boneyard I think) for awhile now. I'd be surprised if they resurrected it--unless they are turning it over to the Fire Service??????

I was listening to LiveATC and Coast Guard 1721 is how they IDed. Flight profile matches a C-130. It was returning from a trip to the Dallas, TX area.

I see old mode-s logs for that hex in the GA area. Probably went back to Lockheed for some work including a new transponder.

AC-130 13-5789 SHADOW73 has been orbiting AP Hill tonight. I haven't found any comms. Just noticed something else orbiting too, hex A7250D which is actually U-28 07-0488, not N56EZ.

Checking tape had GYPSY-21 flight of two on ZDC 281.450 at FL250 clearing down
to 13k at 12:10 pm local.
That callsign is VFA-32 F/18F types out of Oceana NAS.

Thanks Mark. That's why I mentioned it. I figured you guys might have heard something.

Richee2000: I don't know for sure they were going to NYC. Only that they were headed north from my location, which is towards NYC. (Im in northern Monmouth) I see many mil fights almost daily. Almost every day I see E-2C Hawkeyes or C-2's out of NAS Chambers. When they show up on ADS-B, it shows them go up the Hudson River, turn around at the Tappan Zee and go back south down the Hudson, back over NJ, to NAS Chambers. Almost like a sight seeing tour. I'm assuming pilots getting in flying time or training. They usually check in with Mcguire APP on 124.15.

The 2 F/A-18's I saw today did not show up on ADS-B.
