A bit off topic but worth noting some WW2 awesome history remembered.
This Friday morning over Sheffield Park UK a 75th anniversary flyover of US and UK aircraft in commemorative flight of the US
B-17 "Mi Amigo" that crashed there in 1944. Sad story but one local witness at 4 years old now 82 kept the memory and history alive.

Here’s how you can watch the Endcliffe Park flypast in tribute to the brave crew of Mi Amigo - 75 years on

B-roll of US F-15E's warming up today at Lakenheath for Friday flyover.

Seeing a flight belonging to the Pakistan military inbound tonight:

R09-001 76209A
Pakistan Air Force
Pakistan Military
Ilyushin IL-78 MP, IL76

Unrelated, looking at the callsign on this other aircraft I saw, at 1837 eastern heading south from FLA, would this be one of the planes flying to/from Gitmo in Cuba? First time seeing this:

163842 AE0751
United States Navy GTMO762
United States Military
Beech UC-12M Huron, BE20

The Sheffield memorial flyover for WW2 "Mi Amigo" C-17 crew went well this morning in the UK.
Tony Foulds the local gentleman waving had worked many years to get this finally done.
Nice finish with Lakenheath US F-15E's doing a missing man formation.. Big crowd as well.

NBC News had coverage of this tonight. They said that Tony visits the memorial in the park almost every day. He & others were playing in the park that day when the B-177 tried an emergency landing in the park. The acft spotted the children and deliberately veered off and crashed into the trees saving the kids.

From the current version of the DoD FLIGHT INFORMATION PUBLICATION GENERAL PLANNING (GP) Publication, Chapter 5...

Nice little overview of Codes For Aircraft Identification. While most of the experienced have seen or know this thought some of the new people would find it interesting.

A link to all current DoD Flight Information Publications and charts is posted in another forum.

Caught Royal 52 Dover C-17 going to McGuire early today at first calling
usual "Brickyard" CP then asked for secondary freq and read back 138.500.
I guess no joy as back on CP 134.100 freq inbound this time calling KINGFISH Op and getting parking.
That's a new callsign for me..
