Could they be Covid or other non war type injuries? I don't follow these often to see if they are only war type injuries. 27 patients is a lot to not be reported on.So why didn't this have an EVAC callsign? Seems kind of odd. Where are these patients coming from? There has been little to no US forces engagement with enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan. There have been some other things in the news that really aren't being reported on for some reason. Hmm
They used to call them EVAC flights but now mostly get a regular RCH number. In Europe sometimes stillCould they be Covid or other non war type injuries? I don't follow these often to see if they are only war type injuries. 27 patients is a lot to not be reported on.

...and then follow the link to DME at the end. It is a good write-up.
TACAN air-to-air mode will giver range. It is a coordinated thing, since the units need to be 63Mhz(also channels apart, convenienly).
Additional source: retired USN P3C in-flight technician. We routinely used it back in the day when swapping on-station to prevent swapping paint.
I Actually trust the P3C technician evidence more than the wikipedia evidence.
A couple of different sources support what you are saying. In the F16A it was NEVER discussed to use it as such.
Is this relativly new, I stopped paying as much attention to the aircraft side about '89.
Thanks for the update
