That was my question. Is there any clear traffic on there besize pirates

To receive the satcom downlinks - it is best to use antennas best suited for that application. Since I programmed both the downlink and the uplink - I am just trying to see what I can hear off that site since the transmitters (the fighter aircraft) are overhead. Was expecting to hear comms from the uplink more than the downlink. Most likely the comms will be encrypted --- but you never know. Now we just have to hope they try using it again.

You do not need a dish but an antenna pointed at the satellite is best. I use a ex-military satcom antenna for my listening AV2040-2

This link gives you an idea of the antenna.....

I caught the last tx and talkative rtty on one if the web sdrs that you guys recommended so I switched to 8992 and caught the rest of it but it was a bit faint

This morning I'm using an SDR in Georgia k4led.proxy.kiwisdr.com8073 because both Alberta Canada SDRs are being used by owners to transmit and that is gumming up the SDRs reception.

Strong signal out of that one?

Good clear signal but not as good as the other two. Will try the Canada ones later to see if the owners have stopped transmitting.

Since local wx is cruddy and supposed to get even cruddier (???) this afternoon will probably spend today in the HF world. Thurs is usually a good day to catch mil acft on San Francisco Radio as they head out to Hawaii and beyond.

AF1 Travels tomorrow (Friday) TFRs issued for ATL and Camp David. Note: Evening event in ATL canceled and replaced with a meeting with members of the Asian-American community after this weeks shooting. AF2 expected to go to ATL as well.

RUMMY-21,22 KC-46 types inbound from Pacific at FL250 towards San Diego area.
Assume some Navy assets with them... RUMMY 21 is NH ANG and RUMMY 22 is 22ARW.
RUMMY 21 logged in Japan a few days ago.
RUMMY-31 17-46031 22ARW showing almost halfway from Hawaii also at FL250
ADSBX Sat coverage getting better all the time out that way..
