I have added satcom channels to my feed from here - so maybe next time we might hear the uplink from the fighters.
Do you need a specific satcom antenna (dish) for that ? Is there much voice traffic in the clear on these freqs ?

To receive the satcom downlinks - it is best to use antennas best suited for that application. Since I programmed both the downlink and the uplink - I am just trying to see what I can hear off that site since the transmitters (the fighter aircraft) are overhead. Was expecting to hear comms from the uplink more than the downlink. Most likely the comms will be encrypted --- but you never know. Now we just have to hope they try using it again.
You do not need a dish but an antenna pointed at the satellite is best. I use a ex-military satcom antenna for my listening AV2040-2
This link gives you an idea of the antenna.....
I caught the last tx and talkative rtty on one if the web sdrs that you guys recommended so I switched to 8992 and caught the rest of it but it was a bit faint
Strong signal out of that one? This morning I'm using an SDR in Georgia k4led.proxy.kiwisdr.com8073 because both Alberta Canada SDRs are being used by owners to transmit and that is gumming up the SDRs reception.
Strong signal out of that one?
Deadball is busy now lol
TravisIf you haven't noticed AR777 has been added to ADSBx, per my request and providing the points needed to map it.
