Caught them working Moncton, callsign was MACE 21 "Heavy", initial routing was Oceanic via 46N57W-SUPRY-46N50W.

My guess is it was this Barksdale BUFF.

2247- SPUR 81 off MKE eastbound. More BUFFs about ?

MACE 23 (x2) joined up with SPUR 61-62 and looks like MACE 22 is going to join up with SPUR 81. Last waypoint I heard MACE 21 at was 43N24W working Santa Maria. That's it for me.

1650 local NOBLE-21 flight departing the CAP heard shortly on ZDC 285.450 ZDC Brooke
NOBLE-31 in CAP seems new pilot.. Mentions he has traffic in his area at FL22k.
CAP is limited to FL 18K and below.. Some Pax planes at over 18k fly thru area mainly to Philly and beyond.
1930 local NOBLE-31 tally Tappy-75 tanker on 260.900.. Guess he doesn't like Taboo callsign.Superstitsous eh?
1939 NOBILE A/A 379.800 push Conr Satcom channel 42.. 297.525 comes active NORAD encrypted. Same as last time on CAP Satcoms.

Earlier, on Sunday morning, when Noble 11 flt checked into CAP, the flt lead said that he was MARSA w/Tappy/Pappy-73. so there must've been some confusion on the tanker callsigns.

Our long old airframe regular Andrews visitor OC-135B COBRA-72 #61-2672 (AE08D6) has been retired.. 61-2670 is next also for scrapyard.
Probably way overdue... Guess they got to strip out all the cameras etc first.

MACE 23 was a flight of Barksdale B-52s. Came through ZID late last night as a flight of three using 250.250 A/A.

Yes - on 126.000

They operate on regular aircraft VHF band when communicating with ATC.

The front end of the aircraft or helicopter (cockpit) has to communicate with ATC just like everyone else.
There is no unusual frequency for that purpose. When I used to work near the Wilmington airport (and Biden was VPOTUS) AF2 would always work on standard Philadelphia approach frequencies and then use Wilmington tower and ground control for local and surface movement. Nothing has changed.

Still wondering bout those DEATH B-2's last week turning around after getting oceanic clearance.

I never did find them after they went to HF. They were given 5616 for Gander but the LiveATC feed didn't appear to be monitoring that frequency at the time ? The turn back was part of their initial clearance so it seems to have been planned that way ?
