BOE24 06-6165 C-17 back to DOV after a month at Warner Robins. Probably needed a lot of maintenance after a busy August.
1455 BOE-17 inbound Dover showing BOE-22 on ADSB but BOE-17 on the radio C-17 Dover tail 07-7175.
Sometimes they will ask for ride to Philly airport to catch commercial flight back home if they are not taking
any tails back with them. Finally got Dover CP on 134.100,crew of 3 req trans.

Glad to see some locals again out flying,Raven A-10s,DC F-16's etc.. I think being October 1 did the trick.
Those Navy F-18 tours of the Hudson getting real regular anymore.. Almost like they are an Alert detachment :)
Thinking maybe those McGuire Res to Pease are tankers for the weekend CAP.

You'd be surprised how many flights go up and down the Hudson on almost a daily basis. I always attribute it to pilots getting their flying times in.
Lots of E-2, C-2, C-130, UH-60, CH-53, CH-47 just to name a few. Now the F/A-18s seem to be popular lately. And also lately I notice flyers out of Jacksonville NAS up this way a lot. However ADSB only shows them as a UFO. (generic plane symbol on TIS-B)

Noticed today BOE-17 couldn't reach Dover CP on 349.400 so was told to use 134.100.
Just had another C-17 inbound do the same.. No doubt will be some confusion as McGuire uses same VHF CP freq.

Dover notam.
L0066/21 NOTAMN Q) ZDC/QXXXX/IV/NBO/A/000/999/3907N07527W005
A) KDOV
E) DUE TO UHF OUTAGE, DOVER AFB FIRST OPS CAN BE REACHED VIA VHF AT 134.1 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

1850 local BOUNCER-1 on CG A/C 345.000 doing practice with another aircraft BOGEY BOUNCER-2
1856 "Fights on Bogey" 345.000.. Must be close by as reports at 1000 feet but L+C here.
Maybe since Potus got delayed till Saturday a couple of CG H-60's working out of KILG for practice intercepts.

0825- ADS-B showing KC-135R # 58-0072 from Pittsburgh inbound to our area. CAP starting up?

0832- Advice 05 on 260.9 about altitude blocks & advising Huntress they will have 100K to offload, will use 92Y for comms and that 247.05 will be boom freq. Some confusion, Advice 05 asked Huntress if the Nobles were F-15s.

0835- Noble 11 flt (2 acft) working ZDC Patuxent (281.4). Nobles A-A is 267.5.

0844- Nobles working ZDC Dupont (307.25). Couldn't get Dupont so went back to Patuxent to report No Joy and was told to go to ZDC Woodstown (363.0). Nobles request entry into Blue Hen/Compton CAP.

0853- Noble 11 request to Advice 05 that Noble 11 go to the boom and Noble 12 go to the wing (drogue?)

Lots of noisy helicopter activity this morning near KHGR. Shook my windows but couldn't see anything (was still in bed lol). Nothing on either radars. Probably the "Black Ops" as I call them. Pretty normal morning here in Waynesboro Pa.

How about Ospreys? They have been more active in my home area lately and they have a distinctive sound that is louder than helos. Sorry to miss all the activity there guys, I am in Virginia Beach for the air show.

92Y is for TACAN use not for voice comms - just FYI
