Sounds like same kind of training we hear down here in the DC area. Civil Air Patrol Cessnas (in your case Bogey) act as "intruders" so air defense units can train on intercept procedures.

Down here we usually hear 121st FS F-16s (Brave) from Andrews & CG MH-65Ds (Blackjack) from CGAS Wash in same kind of training.

For those of you with an HF capability

This was posted on another list a couple of days ago by a listener in KY

7965.0 Pax River frequency, IIRC, with "SHADE 3" (I think) reporting 30 miles range to unid station. Male op from SHADE 3 & female op at unid station.

Not SHADE 3, but SHADE TREE, who the male op is calling.....My hearing is apparently still shot from a cold last week! SHADE TREE requested also using 13445.4 for comms to knock out two objectives, but nothing heard there even after they switched freqs. 1918 UTC.

Interesting. In my recordings from a few days ago I have annotated one as:

2021-09-28T0856_11175.0kHz_LIPO21 call SKYBIRD with position SIGONELLA-SKYBIRD reply

Aircraft called a brevity code and time and then a position. The position related to over the sea and 30 miles from shore in international airspace. Sigonella requested the calling station repeat and then the same operator asked again but used SKYBIRD rather than SIGONELLA.

Note in my original post my dyslexia got the better of me with the ICAO address and I have corrected it in this quote.

Do the E6s use multiple ICAO adresses (as some of the C40s/C37s seem to), one for ADSB/VHF and one for Classic Aero over Inmarsat?

1027- Slick 47 (MC-12W # 94-00318) working discrete (255.75) w/Glare 12 (MC-12W # 89-00269). Both acft working just south of Dover. Glare 12 showing as Glare 15 on ADS-B.

1032- Wardog flt (A-10Cs 104th FS MD ANG) working discrete (139.6) heading north. Working ZNY Middleton (322.4)>ZNY Swissdale (279.55). Looks like they are heading to the Duke MOA

1051- Talon 82 (P-8 VP-16 NAS Jacksonville FL) working ZDC Patuxent (133.9) & DOV approach (132.425). Looking for pattern work at DOV.

Glen, could the TALON have been 882? picked him up off KNIP earlier along with 870.
