SPUR 71-72 eastbound. Looks like heading to KPSM to meet up with 73 that arrived yesterday ?
Button? They were air/air on 273.950 which the one aircraft identified as Button 21.
Did SJ get 3 groups out today? I only saw the first two before I had to run early this am.Thanks. Got the TABOR flight on 270.050, now they are on approach 275.825. (Sorry, way off topic for a US Mid-Atlantic thread).
Button?
Just re-read that my post, Ugh... that should be 19200 lbs gas.I'm guessing they weren't carrying external tanks, If memory hold true, about 19200 gallons is a full jet without any external 600 gallon tanks.
A preset frequency. Old transeivers had buttons for freqs used often so presets still get called 'button' even though they aren't physical buttons.
If you listen to RAF crews they use the term 'stud' as that's what their preset buttons used to look like.
Pilots would have a printed crib sheet in their knee pockets and another sheet clipped into a dedicated holder or convenient place in the cockpit. Great sport for youngsters to try and get photos of these at airshows when pilots though you just wanted to sit in their seat.
Blagging a studlist from a crew in the UK was always good too (in the US it was rarely a challenge!).

The preset channels are dispalyed on the white card. So preset 18 is 359.100 (also known as Button 18)
OOPS !!! I misread that. ZDC PAX is 281.4 not 284.1 SorryTerry,
What unit is that card from? I notice that the ZDC Pax freq 281.4 is on it.
Thanks. Got the TABOR flight on 270.050, now they are on approach 275.825. (Sorry, way off topic for a US Mid-Atlantic thread).
I should've said 363.2 is "listed" for ZNY; I haven't checked for its use in awhile, but I'll put it back in the scan bank; thanks for the info. Can you confirm that ZNY is actually using 363.200 and the associated VHF 134.450 ? In the past pre Covid they didn't seem to be used very often, often combined into ZNY35 132.600/285.500. Thanks.
