Nice pair of B-1's landing today.. Look small till final approach.. Too bad they don't do large deployments
anymore. About 20 years ago I remember at least 8 B-1's deployed to RAF Brize Norton in one shot.
McGuire GOLD tanker KC-10's were flying out of here.. Was something else. I still remember the callsigns they used
when they came thru here. B-1's were DARK-11,21,31 etc. McGuire KC-10's were GOLD-11,21,31 etc. :)

Nice work on catching the Bone flight! Did we ever find out the real callsign of them? I had them on recordings working ZBW on 269.3 as well as preparing/coordinating the redueling with the SPURs on 341.75
I think it was Remus.. makes more sense.. Maybe we will see a MARS callsign :)

ARRIS-46 KC-46A working offshore with Navy assets on 341.950 prob Pax river fighter,
Keep tweaking various lights on the tanker boom and fighter jet.etc.. Short tanker contacts with 300 LB's etc.
Playing with drogue hoses.. Tanker has precise positioning on fighter.. "you just backed up to 55 feet from 52 feet".

Callsigns were REMUS1 /REMUS2. Heard on HF with Gander, 3476, and Shanwick, 5649. Handed off to Shannon at PIKIL (freq was given as 122.975) but that's out of range. From there to Swanwick Mil on UHF, 282.625 and handed off to Swanwick Mil, 282.125. Most notable as they kept asking for DEXEN 'to meet another aircraft' so more comms than usual. That other aircraft was the eurofarce from Coningsby, RIGID, which was vectored to their holding position within V.A.R.T.A. by CROWBAR, 270.150. RIGID formated with the two bones where they chatted on the Swanwick control freq. After photo sortie the eurofarce went back to Coningsby and the bones headed down to Fairford being handed off to Brize Director on UHF 399.025 where they asked for 10 mile final and dropped out of my range.

Notice AR-20NE has exact same Res as last night 0345z-0445z. They are consistent on this slow deployment.
Only 4 B-1's total :( In a few years they prob all will be gone and retired.

McGuire has a Space A to Davis-Monthan Thursday about 1045am. Maybe another KC-10 to Boneyard.
