1730z 124.300 BLUE 62 flight switching to ZBW.
1730z 120.250 BLUE 62 flight check in with ZBW, in the block non-standard formation.
1740z 120.250 BLUE 62 wkg ZBW, flight will split up around EMJAY. BLUE 62 will be a single to KPSM and all four F-16s are going to destination KSSC.
1807z 133.425 BLUE 62 flight checking in with ZBW, block 260-280.
1822z 135.800 BLUE 62 flight check in with ZBW, in the block 260-280.
1836z 135.800 BLUE 62 wkg ZBW, MARSA terminated, flight splitting up.
1836z 292.150 RETRO 11 flight check in with ZBW.

1408- Ftrs still going on 262.0 Strong at my location. Also a coupe of hits on 246.50 which I have as a Coronet freq.

Probably Mass ANG.. Have heard them before on road trips at high altitudes using HAWK callsign

1242- Steeljaw working w/Score (VX-20) & Dragon (unid) on VX-20 test discrete (345.1) . Steeljaw queries Score if they "want to test the J voice link". Steeljaw advises Score & Dragon that he is sending tracks for targets in the Norfolk area. ADS-B showing Score 22 (E-2 # 162169 AE2FD6 VX-20) working in the Norfolk/ Oceana area at FL240. In the past the hex code AE2FD6 has been used by E-2D # 168076. so, not sure which acft is working today.

Interesting; STEELJAW used to be used by the E-2D test team with VX-1. Maybe they are also using it with VX-20 now? Could also just be a backend callsign these days

Are the test discrete freqs assigned to specific Pax squadrons? Or do they rotate between whichever one is most convenient?

Earlier 1258 local HAWK-21 flight of two at FL360 with ZDC req FL400.. Road trip for sure..

They seem to use location based range freqs for operations but go to their squad ops freqs when in or outbound.
A little of both at times..
1500 local notice SCORE-13 167929 E-2D coming in from offshore on ADSBX. Maybe working carrier offshore.
1517 local DEVIL-11 flight of 2 back inbound towards A/C on 363.000>354.150 at FL12k down to 9k.

Not sure the test discrete are allocated. I think that some of them are allocated to a particular unit:

337.9 VX-1
339.625 VX-20
345.1 VX-20
365.7 VX-20

I'm guessing that the freqs used by specific units are allocated according to the mission/test flt

I think that here's a pool of freqs that are allocated to missions, test areas, range controls that are used by different acft.

Attached is a list of PAX freqs I got from Larry Van Horn several years ago. As you go through the list (at least for me) there are a couple of patterns that stand out.

Living near Martin State I always see the C-17 when it's parked there overnight, since it was there last evening. Never saw it takeoff, since it leaves when I am at work, but did see in the this morning after I was already in the work truck.

Just wondering where the ones that visithere are based, since it's way to far to see any markings on it. Does it come from Dover? Maybe it's ANG from Martinsburg, WV.
