Thanks for the heads up! Got them on Coronet 31 C LANT 268.4 now. Also heard BLUE 41 check in with ZBW 120.250 in the block 260-280.
1831z Update - BLUE 41 inbound Pease, RETRO 91 flight inbound Barnes KBAF. Currently working ZBW 269.475 and A-A on 326.375

Anyone know if these are Lakenheath birds?

Coming home from work saw a couple choppers with long cables dropping/lifting parts on large high voltage
electric towers that come from New Jersey and run North/South along the Del/MD line.
N721RP and N175JL Hughes H500 types on the ADSBX site.

RAF Refuel flight

I caught ASCOT 9212 refueling unknown fighters this morning on 359.5 as they were heading off Cape Cod. Time was 1515z. Tanker was RRR9212 ZZ334 / Hex 43C6F7. He took off from MCAS Beaufort and just recently landed at Lajes.

RRR9212 flight.jpg

Interestingly there is another tanker inbound Lajes now (1956z) from Brize Norton.
RRR2150 here:

Could this be the tanker for the next part of the trip? Does anybody know who they dragged from Beaufort MCAS? This one would have slipped by me if I didn't catch them on recording!

I think they were RAF Typhoons returning from Red Flag... but could also be some F-35B deliveries?

As far as I know he unknown fighters were 3 RAF F-35B's on an overdue delivery flight from Fort Worth to (eventually)RAF Marham,UK.They arrived at Beaufort on 14-2 as ASCOT9601(ZM159/025) ,ASCOT9602(ZM160/026) & ASCOT9603(ZM161/027).
Guess they used the same c/s today.Should be arriving at Marham tomorrow.
ASCOT2150 is a normal RAF cargo/pax flight callsign.RAF AAR flights normally use ASCOT9....-series c/s.
I believe the Red Flag Typhoons were transitting thru Bermuda & McDill AFB.
grtz

Did the three F-15s at Bangor turn around and come back to St. Louis this afternoon? Or was the RETRO 61 callsign recycled for other planes today? I got weak air to air discussing NOTAMS on 252.525 at 1835Z so I checked the LiveATC archive and got RETRO 61, a flight of three F-15s on the 1900Z STL Tower reel. They did a couple of low approaches, landed and taxied to the Boeing ramp.

Will the pilots go into crew rest and try again in the morning? Why would the three planes come back if they had made it to Bangor? Again, is it the same callsign used with different aircraft today?

Edited LiveATC audio clip attached.

1955 An OSPREY-73 MV-22 (AE4EF4) inbound Pax River from a Hudson River run.
Also Andrews C-32 #99-0003 NE bound thru NY area.Assume nightowl to overseas.

2000 local a AC-130W #88-1306 coming NE from KGYH at 17k. I think that is limit of the type altitude.
Tail # 88-1306 comes back to was once a WV ANG C-130 but converted to AC-130W type.
now based at Hurlburt Field Fla.
2015 AC-130W is dropping down North of Richmond Va. Maybe landing Fort AP Hill.
