NEW YORK — New York State Park Police asking for folks to be on the lookout for a kayak after a man reportedly went missing while kayaking.

According to NYSPP, on Monday around 8 p.m. park police were called to Golden Hill State Park on reports that a 54-year-old man, who was kayaking, went missing.

Park police responded and set up a multi-agency search.

Their efforts included searches by the Coast Guard air assets C-130, MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter, New York State Police Helicopter, and Park Police Drone.

According to the news release, a water-based search of the shoreline using marine assets was conducted and the initial search efforts were unsuccessful in finding the missing kayaker.

Park Police are asking residents on the Lake Ontario shoreline to be on the lookout for the missing man's kayak, as park police continue their efforts to search for the man, in hopes that finding the kayak will help.

The kayak is an Old Town Sportsman 120 orange and black in color.

The ADSBx policy is to not put any details in for hexes that aren't permanently assigned to an airframe.

I am only missing 4 Hex codes for P8A aircraft - all of the rest of the unknown Hex codes I have in my database should match the production list but they do not. So they are using hex codes that do not not match up with serial numbers. So as visible to us - the hex codes being used do not connect to a particular airframe but they can be matched generally to a squadron.

Chatter on W386 G-J CMN 350.050, haven't caught any callsigns, heard several aircraft, some altitudes, bullseye, knock it off. Maybe someone else can hear more. Don't see anything on the adsbexchange. Has gone quiet while I was writing this.

Aircraft out of Andrews - now heading back home. 238.175 is active with same aircraft

Falcon Virgo exercise started a little before 1230AM local when Cessna 182s CAP2582 and CAP2505 launched from Manassas airport. USCG helo 2E87BE BLACKJACK1 launched from Davison and spent until 1AM orbiting Springfield VA while one Cessnas did an orbit or two over the Potomac east of Stafford. The other Cessna headed for Sandy Point airport NW of Pax River. Pretty boring until 1AM when COSMIC1 & COSMIC2 arrived. COSMICS using 139.7 and 260.9 for A-A. Simulated guard from COSMIC to Cessna on 126.2; they announce at 120AM they have 50 minutes of playtime left. Cessnas at 2350 and 3350 feet altitude. BLACKJACK was at 2500 feet early on then HUNTRESS ordered a climb to 4000 feet.

Cessnas have been visible fulltime on ADSBx. BLACKJACK has been off and on visible. 132AM Cessnas are just 2 or 3 miles apart just north of Chesapeake Beach over the Bay. 150AM COSMICS on 350.25 request the block 10K to 11K feet while the Cessnas are still at altitudes mentioned earlier; one is overhead DCA and the other is close behind on the same track.

Jet

Odd that Blackjack was out of Davison. The Blackjacks usually operate out of DCA (Reagan) where CGAS Washington is located.

Does anyone have information on the base freq for Pax River SAR? I have WATCHDOG as using 282.800 but I don't think that would be their actual base freq.
Jared

I've not seen any PAX SAR Ops freq listed anywhere. The PAX Base Ops is 302.55 but that doesn't answer your questio.

BTW: First time I've seen the callsign Watchdog assoc with PAX River.
