Thanks for the heads up on the A-10s, otherwise I would have missed them.

Speaking of missing stuff. Saw this on Twitter, some sort of excercise over Kansas this morning.
10 KC-135s, callsigns GRIMM 51-56 and GRIMM 61-64, with B-2s, callsign DEATH 11-??.
The 10 KC-135s all landed at McConnell/KIAB around 0600Z-0645Z.
Would have shook some folks up if they were headed to North Dakota/Canada border instead :)
Course their ADSB would probably be turned off.
Sure is a lot of old school Cold war rhetoric these days.

Hawaii Navy watching a ship.. Nothing new but see a P-8A just arrived tonight from mainland (AE657D)

Incidentally checking the KFWA archives there were some mil flights out of there this morning, callsigns JOKER, HUNTER and NAIL. I assume these are A-10s as they all RTB back to KFWA. All 3 are new ones for Ron's callsign list.

Those weren’t on their approved list of callsigns until last spring or summer. Showed up out of nowhere along with others. I haven’t been able to hear much of them since I moved, but these are all the 122nd FW callsigns I’ve heard (their standard callsigns are in bold):

APEX, BOAR, BOILER, BRONCO, BUCK, BULLET, COLT, CUDA, DEEP, DOZER, HEAT, HUNTER, JACKAL, JOKER, KILLER, MACE, NAIL, NOMAD, PIG, RACER, RAMBO, RATTLER, ROOKIE, SALT, SANDY, SLAYER, SNAKE, SNIPER, SNOOPY, SPAD, SWINE

Unsure of these, only heard once:
DAGGER?
EVIL?
MOMMY?
PORK?

They departed Fairchild AFB before 8pm Eastern time. A friend texted me about them. I was watching them off & on during the night.

Thanks for that callsign list. How does one get a copy of a units approved callsign list ? Also do you know if these frequencies for the 122nd FW are accurate as listed here on Radio Reference ? I'm mostly just interested in their A-A frequencies.

The approved callsign list was provided by an ATC friend who checked a copy of their LOA.

Current A/A freqs for them:
271.400 Common
226.025 Interflight 1
319.175 Interflight 2
317.375 Interflight 3
322.250 Interflight 4

I can confirm FTW A-10s SALT 11 and 12 on the Jefferson Range in Indiana right now air to air on 322.25. (y)
