C-32A 09-0018 SAM 973 trails AF1 and SAM 46 on the way to the fuel stop in Alaska.

Is SAM 973 the 'third plane' with the Continuity of Government mission? Until recently it used the SAM 18 callsign.

Is this the first operational mission for 09-0018?

Looks like SAM 46 will park at Osan Air Base for the AF1 South Korea visit.

Ahh!!!! Good old Osan. Spent 14 months there in 1960-61 when I was a Korean Linguist in the USAF.

Rest of T-Birds enroute Dover for dinner time arrival.Looks like for now KC-135 #58-0061 leading them.

They are chatting away on Aux 1 149.65 AM about summer camp, botox treatments, the Indy 500 and the like.

Sounds like just the four diamond planes on this frequency.

Today, the Department of Defense (DOD) is sourcing the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s request for Operation Fly Formula to transport Nestlé S.A. formula from Zurich, Switzerland to Plainfield, Indiana. DOD is actively working the request to identify commercial aircraft.

The Operation Fly Formula shipments will transport the equivalent of up to 1.5 million 8-ounce bottles of three formulas—Alfamino® Infant, Alfamino® Junior, and Gerber Good Start® Extensive HA—all of which are hypoallergenic formulas for children with cow’s milk protein allergy.

It appears that SAM973 is hanging out at Elmendorf EDF. Landed just after AF1 departed from their fuel stop.
