A friend of my son told him he saw a V-22 around Portland. Just heard two of them on the radio working Portland A/D on 119.750 ID as CROSBOW 11 and 21 (CROSBO11 on ADSBx) They requested to fly down the coast to Pease at 500' Now switched to Pease A/D on 125.050 requesting runway 34. I'm trying to search for an A-A, but being that low I may never hear them from here.

GRIMM 99 is indeed 74-0787, I somehow got the tail number wrong earlier.

Actually, I believe N22PP uses the EAGLE TWO callsign, you can hear it on today's LiveATC 1230Z reel for DCA helo freq 134.35. N11PP is EAGLE ONE. N33PP is EAGLE THREE but I've never seen it used on an operational Presidential support mission.
Bill

Thanks for the correction. I didn't actually hear him but saw him on ADS-B. I thought whoever was on airspace clearance duty was Eagle 1.

Sat on LiveATC for DAA/ADW but didn't hear anything. Didn't hear AF1 or SAM 46 leave.

SAM 46 is apparently going all the way back to Andrews. They are dispatched across the Atlantic with ETOPS criteria and loss of a major aircraft system (electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic) prior to going oceanic can be a showstopper. However, in many cases there is no requirement to 'land as soon as possible at the nearest suitable airport in point of time'. You just don't have the systems redundancy for extended overwater flight.

My friend Ken Hoke has this overview of ETOPS dispatching requirements:

1345 local GRIM-99 now showing EB thru France assume going to Germany.
Maybe since they lost the backup SAM46 the E-4B will also go direct Munich/Ramstein?

All I have for them is 361.100, 267.400, 225.700. Only the first one is confirmed and that was in 2016.

Thanks Jared! I'll throw them in the scanner. A friend posted videos of them at Pease today. Apparently there were three in total. According to him, were from the VMMT-204 MCAS New River.

hey guys around 5:45pm or so i had a uh-1 and either a r 22 or r44 flying very close together here and right over my house just above the tree line. Did anyone catch them on the radio? And i looked online and didnt see and airshow close by. I though the uh 1 was going to land on my house thats how low he was but i didnt see and markings as to who he was just olive dab green and the r22 or r 44 was red in color.

Someone caught pic of that new C-40C plane that has been flying around L-3 Texas #21-0024.
That looks like temp reg # sticker on the side.. Note missing windows in spots.
For Pax or snooping? I don't see any special bumps for a snoop plane.. Maybe just fancy USAF Pax plane.

Volgowrath on Twitter: "US Air Force Boeing 737 21-0024 flying as AMBIT02 #milair #planespotting #aviation #AvGeek #haveglass #USAF https://t.co/Qzmc72LZzU" / Twitter

Thoughts are that it may be a testbed of some sort. Unlikely to be a pax jet.

BOBBY 61 (58-0035) just arrived at Langley AFB from Fairchild AFB after holding for almost one hour due to dense fog.
He is on ALTRV Coronet South 813, so probably taking some F-22s to South America tomorrow.

Air Force One arrived at Munich airport last night and was flying over Belgium working with Maastricht radar.
Only heard the controllers, so AF1 was probably working UHF which wasn't covered by LiveATC.
Short soundclip and a map showing his routing: AF1

Overnight BROAD-55 E-6B 163918 (AE0410) went from Pax River to Mildenhall UK.

Reference above Just saw a BOBBY-71 #58-0069 light up mode s on ground at MacDill but now gone.
Maybe just testing or ground relocation.

0800 local P-8A (AE67C3) coming North from Jacksonville.. Maybe a Falls (KIAG) tour. Those Navy guys love the Falls :)

Four KATT Navy Texans off Hanscom Field West/SW bound.
