Rgr Ron saw both of these depart Dover this morning as a pair.Kind of rare for C-5M's to pair up like that

They were last seen heading Northeast.. Seems on replay this afternoon they both went into Cape Cod Coast Guard Air station and still there.
Bet that was a sight to the locals.
VIKING 01 #69-0024 departs Cape Cod and looks
Back enroute Ohio.
Viking 02 #85-0005 departs CC and looks to be headed back to Dover..
Wondering what the heck these guys are hauling from Ohio to Cape Cod Air Station.

From what I’ve heard there’s a big paratroop exercise going on over there. Apparently all aircraft involved are using Callsign “Viking” when taking part in it

If it's Columbus, probably "stuff" from Defense Supply Center Columbus. .

There had been some local convo about C5's and C17s in the area.

Yesterday while waiting for the F-35s to RTB at Burlington, I was listening to ZBW UCA09/ART08 and I heard TIGER 12 get approved for a frequency change. Did anyone hear B-2s at Fort Drum? They use TIGER a lot when they come to Fort Drum.

They were dropping live bombs on Thurs and Fri at the range.

Thanks guys for link and info.. Guess using Dover C-5's for troops and gear as not likely paradrops from them.
Thought maybe they might haul a few Ohio Army ANG choppers as well.. :)
Maybe DVIDS website will have story and pics later.

One local paper at Cape Cod said Mil traffic is due to runway construction at Westover AFB but that was completed
back in early April.Got to look around these days to find the real news! Runway 5/23 is 300 feet wide and 2 miles long now good for another 70yrs.

Shaw F16s got early start this morning with
Tankers BLUE'93 and BLUE-94.
They were way offshore ACK at 4am local today.
BLUE-94 #18-46044 now landing back at Shaw AFB so assume another group going tommorow.
