Anybody know whats going om here??

Any chance you could give us a time or a registration on the plane doing the lines?

In the past I've heard both military and civilian aircraft coordinating with Potomac Approach for surveillance and mapping in the Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ aka 'the Freeze').

This time of years several photo planes are out doing aerial mapping lines after the snow is gone and before the leaves come back on the trees. A swarm of Canadians are basing out of Lexington, Kentucky right now and cussing up a blue streak on 123.225. Another American sounding crew is in the area chatting on 123.425.

N77JS was up around D.C. earlier today, it is registered a company with this web page:

Norway had close view of recent Russia missile drills. Large Notam for that area all legal in Intl waters and many planned back in December.
The gateway for the Russian Navy to the North Atlantic.. Course Ron you know all about that area from the old days.

Got to be Navy or USAF bomber run with about 5-6 hour rtb? That normally Pacific Altrav QUAKE callsign puzzles me.
Maybe some more Barksdale Buffs did loopy Eastbound trip to Pacific areas course Euro guys would have picked them up.

Huntress was communicating with Blackjack on 139.7.

Blackjack 1 was already up on a routine flight when Huntress called them. That’s when you hear the “active air defense” call on 134.35 that PenguinSix posted. They immediately climbed to ~2,000ft and switched to Tyson Sector on 118.95 and started heading SW from DCA. About 2 mins later, DCA tower on 119.1 advised the planes taxiing to take off that Potomac had stopped departures from DCA, presumably to give Blackjack 1 room to maneuver. Blackjack 1 went as far as about Fort Belvior when they turned around and continued on their routine flight. Huntress adviced them that they believed the unid acft was in fact birds.

Notice locally at low altitudes showing on ADSBX are way off around here at times. Tonight have Trooper-1 N387MD
MSP Chopper inbound Christiana Del hospital on radio from Maryland with KILG 126.000 says at 1200 feet but shows 800 feet on ADSBX.

See many aircraft around here and elsewhere landing at -350 feet etc on ADSBX and FlightAware is same also.

ADSBExchange Mode-C altitudes are pressure altitudes.

KILG 210451Z AUTO 18005KT 10SM CLR M01/M08 A3035 RMK AO2 SLP276 T10061078 400441078

Local ILG altimeter is 30.35 inHg. 30.35-29.92=.43.

Add 430 feet to the ADSBExchange altitudes to get actual MSL altitudes with this altimeter setting.

Or, was it the other way around, I never could remember. ;)

EXEC1F looks to have landed at ILG maybe to handle the “family-related issue”
