Re: 57-1474

Hi Mateo,

After my terrible mixup yesterday, I'm striving for perfection...)

57-1474 is actually 319th ARW AMC and not ND ANG.

Heard him on the way in at 1809Z...

Congratulations on all the military Gulfstreams. I take it that you've already seen 06-0500 at Savannah then?)

Also, does this mean you've read them all off or have you just seen them and tied them up via radio xmsn?

Best regards,

Tony

Please don't hate the messenger Tony but...that was JOSA 442 (C-21A, 84-0125, CT-ANG) with the heavy Hispanic accent that arrived at Andrews.

TBIRD 14 = C-17A, 04-4130, 305th AMW McGuire
I note the McGuire freqs - especially their Approach freq 124.15 - are busy with arriving aircraft for the show.
******************************************

Earlier in the 1600 hour, a KC-135T, 58-0069 (AF maintenance crews call this one "Balls 69") from the 92nd ARW Fairchild landed somewhere in the area. I don't think it was at Andrews. Did anyone happen to hear one perhaps into MTN or ILG? All I have is third party info on this one so have nothing more on callsigns or freqs used.
I'm told it was on the ground for no more than a couple of minutes, took off again and went northeast.

Wish I could see that B-52 (TUFF 10) landing. Seeing those guys land or take off is quite an experience.

Well, thanks for the tail. I heard her calling McGuire several times as DENALI 01, heard her give ETA and then when she gave her tail, the year part was blocked. All I heard was her saying, "triple zero one"

Gordon and Jimmy Johnson both have their own planes and I'm sure Junior does too but I don't have his registration saved anywhere. Johnson came in yesterday. Casey Mears is another story. I'm not sure he makes enough money yet to afford his own plane but with all those planes in the Hendricks fleet, I'm sure he has no trouble catching a ride. I think Gordon must rent out his plane because I see it flying very often - even when a race is nowhere near here. I'm told a lot of private plane owners do that to recoup some of the huge costs of owning a plane.

1845: Greg Biffle's plane on the way into Dover...N116GB, a Falcon 20...still at 9000 feet.
Also see N12RA, an MU2 belonging to BH Jr Motorsports Inc on the way in (Bobby Hamilton)
Also have N500PR, CRJ2 belonging to Penske Racing on the way...still way out at FL 260.
And probably half the business jets on my screen are heading to Dover this evening.
1857: Another Hendrick Motorsports aircraft heading to Dover...N509RH, a Saab 2000

1853: DC-ANG F-16 flight landing at ADW w/Tower...WILD callsign...349.0

The press plane that went out to Phoenix for the President's visit is due back at Andrews this evening at 2029 according to FlightAware...PACE (PCE) 3853 is the flight number....ETA now changed to 2024. It's arriving from Salt Lake City (KSLC)

Flightline guys are talking about it. Planning to send it to 10A for gas and go. Just passing ARMEL now.
2005- Visual on the REACH-373T, a C-17 approaching ARMEL. 119.85

As fast as he was saying it I was lucky to get any numbers.

SPAR-20 will be departing tomorrow at 4 o'clock. Not sure if that's AM or PM.

REACH 737T = C-17A, 00-0175, 62nd AW McChord (Agree Travis...he sure did spit them out rapidly)

Ramp freeze at Andrews upcoming at 2035 local time:
AIR TERMINAL RAMP FREEZE. 30 MAY 00:35 2008 UNTIL 30 MAY 01:05 2008. CREATED:
28 MAY 21:09 2008

Here we go with another Navy freq change at Andrews per NOTAM;
NAVY BASE OPERATIONS (NSF) NEW UHF FREQUENCY IS NOW 362.9. 16 APR 10:50 2008
UNTIL 16 JUN 23:59 2008. CREATED: 16 APR 10:52 2008
I heard a Navy transport arriving at ADW a couple of hours ago contact the AF Command Post on 141.55 and was complaining about not being able to reach the Navy CP and asked that a message be passed to them. He must have been on the old freq.

And Andrews found it necessary to post this NOTAM:
ALL INBD ACFT CTC COMMAND POST 30 MINS OUT WITH NUMBER/CODE OF
DV'S, DUTY/SPACE-A PAX, LOAD MSG, BLOCKTIME, ETD, AND RQR. 22 MAY 18:40 2008
UNTIL 18 AUG 23:59 2008. CREATED: 22 MAY 18:43 2008

2028: SPAR 20 (C-9C, 73-1683, 73rd AS Scott)...ETA 40 past the hour, 28 SOB, 10K on the fuel...will refuel after dropping pax...w/ADW CP...378.1
2029: RIDER 01 (C-17A, 06-6168, 512th AW AFRC Dover) departing Dover and climbing...must be the 512th AW Wing Commander on board or piloting the plane based on that suffix.
2036: SPAR 20 on right base to runway 19R...w/ADW Tower...118.4
2037: Heard a JAKE 14 w/Dover CP but missed his message...that should be a KC-135R from the 153rd ARS MS-ANG Meridian...349.4
2038: CRAB 55 (C-130J, 98-1355, 135th AS MD-ANG Martin State) has been flying around the area for quite a while...just heard him with Phillips AAF Tower...126.15
2041: Air Force Two w/ADW Tower for landing...standby gear...118.4
I don't believe he's on his normal plane (98-0002)...looks like he's aboard C-37A, 99-0404.
2044: AF 2 reports gear down...118.4 (Yes, it's apparently the C-37A)
2044: DC-ANG F-16 BULLY flight working with Norfolk TRACON reporting FL 220...353.7
2048: BLACKJACK 1 (HH-65, USCG) to HUNTRESS announcing training mission w/BLACKJACK 2...says they'll notify HUNTRESS when it's time to RTB...HUNTRESS acknowledges...228.9 (As usual, HUNTRESS loud and clear on this freq. I hear nothing when they use the 260.9 freq but always hear them on this one.)
2050: REACH 1815 (C-17A, 01-0193, 437th AW Charleston) departing Dover and climbing to assigned altitude.

2102: BLACKJACK 2 to HUNTRESS to report airborne and will work with BLACKJACK 1 for the next hour...228.9
