Yes, the CAP picked up again this morning after its early demise last night due to thunderstorms in the area. HARASS F-15s from Langley are again the fighters. Primary freq with HUNTRESS is 260.9.

The tankers so far today have been:
TEFLON 05 (KC-135R, 58-0098, 132nd ARS ME-ANG Bangor) [First shift]
TEFLON 06 (scratched and replaced by the Alert Tanker NATION 01)
NATION 01 is the new callsign replacing the old SKATER 07.
NATION 01 (KC-135R, 63-0366, 108th ARW NJ-ANG McGuire) [Arrived in CAP 1006]
TEFLON 07 (KC-135R, 63-7996, 434th ARW AFRC Grissom) [Arrived in CAP 1427]
1428: NATION 01 about to give the last bit of gas he has to HARASS 35/36 before heading home.
1429: HARASS F-15s also heading to TEFLON 07 just to prove AR system is working on the new tanker....taking 2K each...260.9
1442: NATION 01 heading for Sea Isle as cleared by Potomac TRACON on the trip back to Mcguire...135.525
1443: HARASS 36 took the test load of fuel from TEFLON 07 and then decided to take another 4500 pounds so is heading back onto the boom...260.9

1500: HARASS 41/42 into the Guard Dog area...360.15/350.25/260.9
This HARASS pair arriving from the east. More thunderstorms showing between Guard Dog area and Langley. Appears to be a monster of a storm about to hit this area.

Here doing Tempory Duty for Obama`s visit is 6532 from Detroit.
It was active this afternoon as "Guardian1".

The Airport is to be completely closed to both Public and Press
during tomorrows arrival at MVY. The Press only being allowed to see
the arrival at Otis.

TEAL80 96-5300 is now in the area. Inbound to ADW on 119.3.

Had some flight working up the coast with ZDC, 236.825>281.45 then handed to 125.45 but I haven't heard it there or on UHF.

1647- TEAL80 finally with ADW tower. It's been a really slow approach.
1658- TEAL80 just now cleared to land. Some Navy flight also, female pilot.
1708- GAF256 10+22 A310 apparently just turned on it's transponder. Still on the ground at IAD.
1751- GAF256 Heavy has departed.

Adrian, I hope the CAP up your way goes better than the Camp David weekend CAP did. The lastest is:

1645: Things go to hell in the CAP once again due to weather (thunderstorms) so everyone is sent home - the HARASS 45/46 F-15Cs to Langley and KC-135R tanker TEFLON 07 to Grissom. TEFLON 07 was cleared to Morgantown and then to APE (Appleton OH VOR).

Adrian,

During the Inauguration when the CG were " Guardian" they used 350.025--might be one to check.

The CAP is coming back, HARASS-43 flight is working ZDC northbound.
1914- Anyone have a tie up for AE04BC? Seems like this could be the tanker, descending from FL310 to 250.
1917- Now showing TEFLN08.

What does everyone have for AC-130 mode-s codes?

From somewhere I have AE12A5 as 89-0510.

I read somewhere that 89-1056 and 90-1057 will supposedly become AC-130U.

I have a note about 89-1056 to be converted to AC-130U. It maybe under conv because the last
report i have for it is 4/2002 with #ANG/Mo/180AS gy/bk `St Joseph`. No hex for this.

I have 90-1057 still active 12/2008 with #ANG/De/142AS b/bk `The First State` hex AE02F2.
This one has, in the past, been noted with numerous extra aerials and lumps and bumps
on its main undercarriage doors and side paratroop doors, but because these are readily
removeable/replaceable parts, may have been a temporary fit. Although no-doubt there would
have had to be some specialised wiring etc involved for it to connect these aerials to
whatever equipement was in the cargo bay.

Last logged that AE02F2 June 7th as HUSKEY 56 a DE ANG callsign
but haven't heard from it since. Also was in and out a couple times in June using REVEAL callsign
so maybe change is on the way.
#90-1057 came from MO ANG I think to replace #84-0211 C-130H at 142AS after it was destroyed by tornado in Sept 2004.
Maybe the Air Force is taking it back..

2350 local TEAL 72 (AE0117) WC-130J #97-5306 climbing up to 21k 53rdWRS/403rdAW
Guess they get the last overnite shift for Bob.
Nothing scheduled yet for later Sunday.

Notam for the MV CAP has been pushed back to (1445 EDT) Sunday cause of Hurricane Bob wx most likely.
No sense getting in there early Sunday with dangerous lousy wx.

Just a WAG but last couple months the Barnes HAWK's F-15's have been coming down here
to Langley and wondering of this was CAP related training.
Curious to see who gets the call up there...

Mark,

I was curious about those MA ANG F-15s (Hawk) as well. I thought they might be swapping out their F-15s for some of the Langley F-15s.

BTW: The new tanker callsign for the CAP appears to be Zombie---Zombie 01 just checked in w/Huntress and the Harrass guys

Agree on affiliation for 58-0023 (ZOMBI 01 displayed on Mode-S) with the 108th ARS/126th ARW IL-ANG.
He's been using both HAPPY and CODER for callsigns - except one time when he fat-fingered the entry and had HARRY 61 displayed. He was also GHOST 85 back in April out at Nellis but that's a common exercise callsign for tankers out there.

Did anyone get an ID on the first shift tanker this morning?

I was showing (AE035A) #57-2593 121 ARW Ohio ANG just after 6am this morning.
Guess it was CAP tanker up that early but nothing on radio for id.

Thanks Mark. I guess that was TEFLON 09. I've been wondering what the significance is of the strange callsigns that have been showing up in various CAPs - like ZOMBI 01 this morning or the GASMAN that was used down in Florida in between TEFLON flights. The NATION 01 was easy to figure as a replacement for SKATER 07 but the others remain a mystery.

Wasn't 44 supposed to have left for Happy-Land by now?

Maybe ZOMBI 01 was another emergency replacement callsign? Hard to figure.
Last week heard they used TEFLON for Arizona Grand Canyon CAP.
Guessing current CAP should be breaking up soon.
