Just heard a scratchy transmission on 357.100 IRON ops. Guess they're getting closer! Assuming that I've read the last page(s) correctly and that there are replacements coming for the Revere CAP and relieve the ones that were in Catch.

2140: HUNTRESS doing a wx check for TRANSPORT 3 (?) back at langeley AFB.

P.S. 260.9 is really starting to step up here.

Nothing much at Patterson today.

N92B (BE9L) - up for the usual orbits; filed under their civil callsign today, so it's on FlightAware: FlightAware > Live Flight Tracker > N92B > 28-Aug-2009 > KFFO-KFFO
NASA 608 (T-34C, N608NA) - back to KCLE
MAINE 87 (KC-135R, unid) - called Metro for weather for Tinker at 1730Z
UNKNOWN - sounded like "LIMA LIMA 94," only made a call on final, never heard it again
BAMA 11 (unid) - calling Indy Center, probably just on the wrong frequency
FAST 52 (T-38A, unid) - heard it depart
PAT 311 (unid) - departed 2242Z

Here's the last piece of the SBS log for 28 August. Quiet evening and I guess the rain and thunderstorms in the area had something to do with that.

The Greeks cancelled today, another go tonight, their ETA for ACK this time 0930z.

Zombie 34 is now checking in with Boston center on 133.450, looking to join up with Harass 43/44.
Zombie 33 just left the CAP and was cleared back to Bangor. Calling in on 311.00 at 0055z.

Regards,

René.

Thanks René. Unfortunately 0930Z (0530 local) is a bad time to arrive. Not sure anyone will be at the radios at that time of morning.

Nice antenna you've got to be able to hear the Revere CAP from your location. :) Actually, it's a good use of available radios and the internet. It shows what can be done if you're dedicated enough to do it. Hope all is well on your side of the world. Thanks for all the information you give us.

I'm not sure if you're talking to me but if you are, thanks! All I use is a Radioshack Handheld Pro-97 Scanner. It's a reliable little thing!

0102: I have been getting some sporadic transmissions on 264.2, which apparently is AICC (Air Intercept Command Common) working with HUNTRESS, mostly talking about refueling technicalities, etc.

FWIW the AR is TEAPARTY.

With regards to the Barnes F-15C/D serials, I'd be very interested to see what your friend's Nellis report shows.

I can confirm the followng for 104FW:

78-0469
78-0474
78-0476
78-0485
78-0500
78-0501
78-0508
78-0516
78-0531
78-0544
78-0545
78-0561 [D model]
78-0567 [D model]
79-0047
79-0064
79-0081

I have more, but I can't confirm them. I think Mark made the comment that Barnes may have been swapping for some newer models with Langley or someone ....... unless I can waggle a tour it'll be a long time to confirm them all since they don't sit out in the open any more.

Sat morning arrivals into Boston for TMK funeral.

SPAR called BOXER on 303.000 and asked them to make sure the "CP" had called the FBO.

Strange comms

Did anyone else hear this ........... ??

1920Z-2100Z : intermittent comms on 376.025, very similar to what was reported on 375.700 and 376.100.

I sat on it with squelch off ...... very strong, but could only hear every other word. It sounded like someone was preforming AR limit work, or being very precise on their boom approach. I can hear them counting down distance.

Then, I discovered the same transmissions simultaneously on 376.125.

Strange ..................
