Guys,

1519 EDT- FDG 051 (foreign accent pilot)-land at ADW.

Travis/Mark--did you catch him on your box?

This guy landed quickly--one xmission on 128.35, one on 119.3 and only one on 118.4. He swooped right into ADW.

USCG Call Sign "Jam 1"

I've heard "Jam 1" used as a call sign on 23A several times in the past few weeks. Although not on a MilAir frequency, it appears to be an aircraft of some sort. They use 15 minute comm checks with Sector Baltimore with the usual ops and position info typical of aircraft radio guards. Anybody know what this is?

Had an odd mode s at 1606-1618 local FL16.6k >FL8.8K (AE173A) dropping down
but nothing else unusual at that time after log search foreign or domestic.
pretty fast drop in 12 minutes.

Hi John,
I think this must have been the following, which were on my SBS log today. I wasn`t here to
hear them myself.

62-3550 KC-135R Az/ANG `Blue07`
59-1517 KC-135R Tn/ANG [no c/s]
These 2 were on my log from 0708 local until 0823. No doubt turning circles waiting for their
chicks to arrive.
Then between 0811 and 0821 i got this one.
82-0653 A-10A [AE19EE] at FL200. there must have been more, what with the 2 tankers and
all. Maybe Rene can confirm.

This was 3 New A-10s for the base at Spangdalham

80-0275/SP
81-0981/SP (New co a/c)

Hi John and all,

Yes, they were three "new" A-10s for the 81FS at Spangdahlem as RETRO 57-59.
They will depart from Lajes tomorrow morning, crossing Dutch airspace enroute to ETAD.
Here is a short soundclip I recorded yesterday: http://www.dutchmil.nl/CE2010/CE030.wav

Hope this helps,

René.

OK, thanks John. the 82-0653 was populated by GAS and shown as the tie for AE19EE,
but obviously not ever confirmed.
The History for this hex hints at a cross-country possitioning trip on 10/7 that was probably
Davis Monthan to Pease or Bangor. It being picked up over Phoenix,Az/Grand Rapids,Mi/
Kingston,On then Rochester,NY.
No other hits showing. So as Rene said will be at Lajes.

Does anyone know what's happened to TinEar? Althought I don't post very often, I watch this thread like a hawk and I've noticed that he hasn't posted anything in quite a few weeks.

Those are all ex - 111th FW PA ANG A-10s.
Only 5 left right now, expecting one more back and then all leaving by July, unless someone decides to pull them sooner.
