Been logging that one also last few days. One guess theory id as
TC-135W #62-4129 55Wg Offutt. HOOVR 29 and COBRA 29 as well.
Not sure myself.

Mark

HOOVER 29 called BUCKEYE CONTROL looking for a phone patch. Too weak to read their end. TC-135 is probably correct: I could make out them asking for the dispatcher to contact the 338th CTS.

MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (2x AV-8B) back up. Just activated AR tracks with ZID. Meeting up with OTIS 18 (KC-130J, unid).

Logs, 8/3:
MIRAGE 11 FLIGHT (2x AV-8B, unid) - to SHB 144/33
MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (2x AV-8B, unid) - to 39.17N/-85.88W
VADER 07 (C-130H, 90-9107) - to KYNG
MIRAGE 01 (AV-8B, unid)

8/4:
NAVY 7W 427 (UC-12B, unid)
MIRAGE 11 FLIGHT (2x AV-8B, unid)
VANDY 20 (T-1A, unid) - approaches before landing
VADER 05 (C-130H, 89-9105)
OTIS 18 (KC-130J, unid)
MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (3x AV-8B, unid) - MIRAGE 23 returned later

8/5:
GUARD HC 083 (UH-60A?, unid) - on FlightAware as "N20083" 0G6 > KFFO, 280 gal fuel; VFR departure S to KTYS
OTIS 21 (KC-130J, unid) - requesting lav service, 5K of fuel; to KNYL
HOOVER 29 (likely TC-135W, 62-4129) - called Buckeye for phone patch/passing info
PAT 399 (C-12, unid) - quick turnaround; to KOKC
OTIS 18 (KC-130J, unid)
MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (2x AV-8B, unid)

Shame on me for not finding this until now:
FDC 9/1178 - LOUISVILLE KY FLIGHT ADVISORY
EFFECTIVE FROM 0909301800 UTC UNTIL 0910080500 UTC. THE U.S.

REACH 8056 (unid) landed at the stroke of midnight and departed sometime between then and now (I was sleeping, of course) for Dover. Was it C-17A 98-0056 or KC-135R 58-0056? My money is on the C-17, but I just want to verify to be sure.

Haven't logged this C-21 tail since June and it was Yankee Conn ANG tail.
Maybe Scott crew using now or belongs to Scott.

Apparently A-10 78-0694 didn't sneak out of Dulles without me logging it. Appears to have left at 1342 today.

Thanks René,I usually check local notams for McGuire but missed that
one.. DOH!
I heard first HORNET C-5A mention he tried CRG freqs but no joy so he
used regular McGuire CP and asked them to relay info.
I'll plug those in and see if this is regular missions now or just one time exercise.
McGuire is offically a Joint Airbase now with Fort Dix and Navy Lakehurst.
Another notam there says they are constructing a new Marine hangar.
Maybe one of their new missions now.Sure sounds Navy with those CRG callsigns. :)

No problem, I think those KINGFISH callsigns are always static callsigns for
TALCE (AMC Tanker Airlift Control Element) units that are deployed to bases
worldwide. They always use KINGFISH followed by a letter.

During the large REFORGER exercises here in Europe in the 80's we had them
also deployed here at Frankfurt, Amsterdam etc ...... those were the days.

Regards,

René.

Need an ID and curious if anyone knows the callsign:

SCEPTER 99 (unid) did one approach at Patterson, didn't hear it again.

Also picked up THUG 11 FLIGHT (3x unid) dropping jumpers this afternoon. No clue of the location or type. Comms were 138.150 interplane, 138.125 THUG 11 calling BOURBON 55 (ground controller?), 139.650 THUG 13 calling ground controller. THUG 13 reports 7 jumpers (5 solos and 1 tandem).

STING 31 (2x F-16C, unid) met up with MUDDY 11 (2x T-38C, unid) for ACM in Buckeye MOA. Interplane on 138.425.

Logs to come sometime tomorrow, probably...headed to bed right now.

That was MAZDA 41 group I heard Shaw 79th FS F-16's headed East with
GOLD 81,91 McGuire KC-10's.

.

THUGS were C-17's from McChord working out of McGuire C-17 weapons
course.Logged THUG 11 #89-1190 437th AW,THUG 12 92-3291 62AW McChord,THUG 13 62AW McChord 99-0062.
I think that THUG 11 89-1190 is now a McChord tail.Charleston 437th has released a few older C-17's to other units
as they have aquired a few new C-17's.
