What's the mode-s code for TANKER-01? Looks like my database is wrong. The only mil flight on my box is AE04DB which is labeled as Navy C-40 165832 at FL240. No TANKER-02 either.

Definitely wrong, my DB has the wrong code for 57-1437 too.
.

Yeah Hop my RB box had wrong codes for those also.I was watchng earlier and noticed
Navy C-40 acting like just like CAP tanker before I realized my database was miscoded.

Tanker 2 showing as #59-1446 Me ANG

Just to get the tankers straight...

AE04DB-TANKER 01 = KC-135R, 57-1437, 77th ARS AFRC Seymour Johnson (Display T01)
AE04E2-TANKER 02 = KC-135R, 59-1446, 132nd ARS ME-ANG Bangor (Display TNKER02)
AE024D-TANKER 03 = KC-135R, 62-3506, 133rd ARS NH-ANG Pease (DIsplay TANKR03)
AE04C7-TANKER 04 = KC-135T, 59-1490, 171st ARW PA-ANG Pittsburgh (Display TANK04)
AE013E-TANKER 05 = KC-135R, 63-7981, 108th ARS IL-ANG Scott (Display TANKR05)(ex-Niagara Falls FUZZY)
TANKER 05 confirmed Scott as home when he departed the CAP -- requested RTB to BLV. CAP suspended overnight at 2305. TANKER 05's handoff from Guard Dog was to ZDC-Linden 133.55 and ARROW 21/22 got handed to ZDC-Montebello 284.7. And done.

ARROW 15/16 used 320.95 for interflight on the way back to Eglin.
ARROW 21/22 are using 316.45 for interflight during their shift in the CAP.

Ref below: Brian, your E-6B was 163918 working 310.15. Guess he was departing since he arrived at Pax late in the 1600 hour and was logged down in Florida a couple of hours prior to that.

First up is LOBO 41/42 and Tanker 06. In the early 0700 hr 41 asked Huntress for the current Eglin weather, Huntress back with "really bad". Also 41 had some problems understanding what freqs Huntress wanted them on. 41 wanted to have a vhf IF and Huntress on uhf with 06 relaying Potomac if needed. That didn't fly with Huntress who had to emphasize at least twice that he wanted LOBO on 135.52 vhf for Potomac and 260.9 uhf for Huntress. 41 got it at that point. Also had some trouble with the link, finally sweet using "gatekey 6 channel 43". Huntress later told 41 to expect the cap until 1430 (Z assumed). Tanker 07 heard from at 0825 local, 06 with Potomac about "fl 340 direct MOL". 07 asking if ARROW 23 & 25 still fragged. 07 also had some trouble with 41/42's callsign, thought they were LOMO. 260.9 for boom freq, no tail numbers copied, sorry.

NWS shows a dense fog advisory for the Florida panhandle.

Replacing the LOBOs for CAP duty are MUDDY 11/12 (F-16C/D112th FS OH-ANG Toledo). Guess the Eglin F-15s are getting a day off due to Florida weather. Saves gas if nothing else.

I have a couple of C-130's on low band again 41.45mhz

Jack

Jack, they're C-130J types from Martin State. 97-1353 and 98-1357 are the tails. They were working with Phillips AAF 126.15 doing drops, cleared out of there and said they'd be back in about 1/2 hour. They're also working CRAB Ops on 384.1 and 148.925 with the drop controller. One is using CRAB 10 and I presume the other is CRAB 11 or 12.
1140: CRAB 10 back with Phillips on 126.15 mentions two aircraft getting ready for another drop...then contacts CRAB Ops 384.1 to say two aircraft are 10 minutes out. They've been squawking VFR 1200 Mode 3 code and operating at 2500-2800 feet.
1151: CRAB 10 to Phillips to say they're done for the day...126.15
1226: CRAB 10 flight has been working the pattern at Martin State...now they report to MTN Tower they're coming in for full stop on runway 33...121.3
A few minutes before landing, they switched leads with 98-1357 becoming the lead and using the CRAB 10 callsign. I never did hear the second aircraft use a callsign. Only the lead aircraft spoke to controllers and while speaking to each other they never used a callsign. Had Mode-S signal down to 400 feet where I lost them.
1233: CRAB Ops (female) calling CRAB 1...asking about the crew...wants CRAB 1 to call the Command Post or stop by...148.925 (Using a P-25 clear voice signal on this freq)

There's also a German Air Force C-160D (50+58, LTG 63 Hohn) departing Dulles (I presume) and climbing. (Picked up at 1134)

1144: TANKER 08 (KC-135R, 62-3580, 77th ARS AFRC Seymour Johnson) contacts HUNTRESS to say he's 21 minutes out, squawking 4622 and is in the green...260.9
1152: TANKER 07 to Potomac TRACON for CAP departure clearance... says he wants to go to Atlantic City, delay an hour and then go into McGuire...says it will be another 10-15 minutes before they leave the CAP...135.525
1205: TANKER 07 gets clearance for departure...Nottingham, Sea Isle, Atlantic City...also told to change squawk to 4605 and does...135.525
1243: MUDDY 11 asking HUNTRESS to check weather at Toledo, Ft. Wayne and Wright Patterson...260.9
MUDDY 11 = F-16C/D, 90-0704, 112th FS KTOL
MUDDY 12 = F-16C/D, 89-2132, 112th FS KTOL
Gave IDs to TANKER 08 during AR at 1250

I don't remember seeing it posted here but both AE20C4 and AE20C5 (new C-17As, c/n P183 and P184) have apparently been delivered and are flying. Both were scheduled for the 62nd AW at McChord. I note AE20C5 flying today in Florida. However, they were originally on the delivery list as 08-8183 and 08-8184 but have also been reported as year 07 (07-7183 and 07-7184). To settle it, they are both year 07 based on callsign used. 07-7184 was noted on Mode-S Feb 27th as "C17USAF" and then on Mar 3rd as REACH 7184 for it's first mission. 07-7183 was noted Feb 6th flying in the southwest using callsign "C17USAF" but has not been logged on an operational mission yet. SELCALs for the two are EQ-FS and EQ-GL respectively. Want blood types and mothers' maiden names for the crew too?

Alan I have 62-3580 KC-135R 18563 AE066F KQ-LP y/bk 756 ARS - Andrews.

Mark

It came to Andrews on loan last summer for a couple of months and then went back to Seymour. That database isn't keeping up.
I believe it was sometime in the latter part of September when it went back.
*************************************************************

1320: CRAB Ops reporting to CRAB 1 the airborne times from MTN for three CRABS...CRAB 51 (97-1351) at 1705Z, CRAB 53 (97-1353) at 1707Z and CRAB 57 (98-1357) at 1710Z...148.925 (still using P-25 and loud and clear)

Nancy Pelosi is on her way back to DC aboard SAM 4432 (97-0401)...departed KSFO around 1440Z.
Routing is "KSFO-OAK-J58-MLF-J28-GCK-J110-BUM-J112-FAM-J78-HVQ.ELDEE4-KADW" (Thanks Jordan)
Alternate is KIAD.

And that's all from me today...gotta run.

MUDDY 12 said I believe tail 0811.I did find a 90-0811 formerly with the 14th FS.

1424 Tanker 08 departs for Seymour Johnson and MUDDY's look like they are bugging out.
Guess CAP is over.

2310z-2314z logged (AE20C5) RCH632T at 25-27k thru area.
Must be brand new C-17 from KCHS.
(AE20C3) is C-17 #07-7182.
AE20C5 should be C-17 #07-7184

Mark, did you see the note I had about these newest C-17s above in message #1408? The one you mention was down in Florida earlier today and is 07-7184. I had both that one and 07-7183 supposedly being assigned to the 62nd AW at McChord but don't know that for sure yet.

Sorry Alan missed that. Here is post from Euro spotter who was at Long Beach
late last Month.

(Both 07-7184 and 07-7185 were outside in 437th AW markings)

Last I read the 437th are getting the next 5 or so C-17's.
62 AW order was put on the backburner.
Older 437th C-17's in turn are being shipped out to Reserve units
A couple months ago the 452nd took tail #97-0043 from the 437th.(Spirit of Los Angeles)
Guess that move was planned a long time ago.. :)
