Looks like GAF A310 10+23 is preparing to depart Dulles.

For those with a mode-S receiver, I IDed A00000 today as N695PC PC12 with ADS-B.

I wouldn't call it new. It's been here since February 2010.

E-6B 163918 SHADOW55 departing Pax. 133.9

Then a commercial pilots asked ZDC if it's a C-130. Then mentioned he's familiar with that callsign in a different part of the country.

Quick question for the MilAir community in the MidAtlantic - if you were to buy a new radio to monitor MilAir in this region, which would you buy and why? Say the budget is ~$200-300.

The GRE PSR-600 seems to do a real nice job. Just purchased one recently. But I've always used the BC 9000xlt and BC780xlt

1100 on 03/08/12- COSMIC flights working CAP some where on 138.200, also heard some comms on 260.9 but no other IDs

Exec1f

Mark,
Travis,

Aaron up in Mass picked up c/s EXEC1F, reg #09-0540 The a/c type is a B737. They were also using a bogus hex code of B648D9.

The only B737s (C-40s) that I know of are # 01-0040 & #01-0041--did you guys catch EXEC1F today?

I've got 09-0540 for that code too. I had it departing at about 1310 local. It has also had SPAR and AVALON callsigns.

Guys,

1244 EST--just had a visual of one of the 1st Helo Sqdn's white tops (UH-1-Mussel) flying low over Glen Burnie area hovering over Baltimore-Washington Medical Center.

Not sure if he was trying to land on the hospital or was just going over for a familiarization. I can't see him anymore but I can hear him---sounds like he's landed at BWMC.

1303 EST- On BWI tower freq (119.4) He idents as Mussel 10 lifting off of BWMC and heading for the Bay Bridge Airport. Interesting little diversion for me---never have seen military helos land at BWMC.

A secondary mission of the 1st HS is medevac.
