Storms today 6/17/06

heavy rain,lightening, thunder and strong wind gusts in/around Sapulpa... had some trees down in Kiefer.

3/4 inch size hail at 118th N Garnnet,

60mph winds in Glenpool

What city? What frequency was this on? What area were they talking about? OK/Ark Skywarn is a very broad program that spans several thousand square miles and covers numerous states alone.

I also heard some traffic on the State 800mhz system on SMA...ah, I can't remember now. I heard the NWS Norman talking to Shawnee EOC at one point.

I drove right through all of that mess on my way home through Bixby yesterday. Wind and very heavy rain were present. I didn't notice any hail or trees or lines down on the drive home.
