I have a few unknown talk groups on my local system. Is there any point in submitting them as "possibles" so at least they're in the DB so other nerds like me can research them?

You don't need to read DB admin handbook, its the second bullet point in the DB submission guidelines (that have been brought up in convo for a due update, recently.)
@GTR8000 likely linked that due to his work as a DB Admin, and his familiarity with it. It's probably been a fair minute since they've read the actual submission guidelines.
Whoops, definitely was guilty of that one a few years ago. I've since corrected them a while ago but I only did it because I noticed it on other trunk systems, though they weren't completely UNID like it was known that it was a Taxi or Cement company etc for the talkgroup just which one specifically wasn't known.

Business systems are handled a tad differently than public safety systems, due to the likelihood of multiple entities doing the same kind of business using the system (ie, multiple taxi companies, multiple refuse haulers, etc) and the difficulty of verifying who is who; as long as the specific use is known (taxi, refuse hauler, concrete company, etc), it's OK to submit it.
