Twinsburg

Radio Tech (radio ID 29956), working with Twinsburg this afternoon.

Dialed through 41232 and 41200, two talkgroup IDs I had not seen previously. Unknown Twinsburg event or tac channels? He only transmitted on 41264, earlier ID'd at Twinsburg Tac 1.

Summit County 800 System .

Maybe these are fire and ems TG's.

41200 was referred to as "TAC 2" by dispatch and radio tech. They were testing UH, Clinic and a school system bldg.

Twbg Fire Tac 2 seems best guest at this point

Back on 2/6 when they had an operation going, I recorded the audio and they were on TG 41264 and it was referred to as ch 2. I have it tagged as TAC 2 and 41168 as TAC 1 which isn't in the DB. So I don't know.

Here's what I've recorded today:
39824: "368 to radio... in service car 4"
41200: "radio repair testing TAC2"
41232: "radio repair testing TAC2" (only one transmission)
41264: never recorded name
42064: keyed up, but not intelligible audio
42576: keyed up, but not intelligible audio

I'll set a radio to discover this system for a few days. We'll see what pops out. Hopefully we can get things corrected in the DB if needed.

Not likely Twinsburg. Maybe Boston Hts? That's in their car number series.

Also Twinsburg cars don't call to "radio" anymore it's to "Twinsburg"..

This could be because Twinsburg Township is dispatched by the SO. Maybe some type of communication between the city and township.

That's likely. I noticed in the past that the SO would come up on 423.075 and talk to T'burg and its units since TFD (but not TPD) covers the township.

Radio service testing on TG 41168 calling it PD 2.

Sounds like Twinsburg can't make up their mind about what to call these TG's. I am the one who made the submission for whats currently in the DB and I know what I heard them call the channels at that time.

Maybe these other TG's could be a different city Like Hudson.

Could be a different city.

Could it also be that the talkgroup name is different than what the radio tech is calling what's dialed into his portable? That whatever talkgroup he's working on, is physically programmed into position 2 on the portable he's using? We're just hearing a whole mix of names for talkgroups during the testing phase that aren't necessarily correct.

My post #213 above was definitely Twinsburg PD. They IDed as such, I recognize the dispatcher's voice, and they were switching back and forth between TGs, and the unit numbers when they were testing them were 7xx series.

The things in post #209 were likely other agencies.

Testing on TG 41200 and 41232 both IDed as PD- "something" - too mushy to understand clearly. I thought I head PD 6 on one but not sure ......

I heard the 41200 transmission. I reran the audio several times. She cuts herself off. The same voice appears on 41264 calling it "PD2".

Twinsburg PD has migrated to the SCA8RS as of March 6th and Twinsburg Fire will migrate sometime late this spring. PD is still working the the vendor to tweak the talkgroup and personnel are still learning the differences in use between the 420 MHz analog and 800 Mhz digital system. Reminderville PD is still dispatched by Twinsburg, but remains on the 420 system until they have their equipment installed and migrate to 800 MHz. Reminderville Fire and the Twinsburg Service Department will remain on the 420 system which will continue to be used to activate the weather warning system. Twinsburg PD dispatch is referred to as "Twinsburg" on SCA8RS.

Great info.

Are you able to identify how many talkgroups and Tac channels they have?
