01/30/14 Thursday @ 0500 hrs.....heard COSMIC flights returning to ACY on 260.9 (F-16s out of Atlantic City) and ATC 282.3.....Have a feeling this was the scheduled practice fly-over that was originally scheduled for 4:30 am Wednesday morning (since nothing was heard Wed morning)

Yep, they did some practice intercepts of a Civil Air Patrol Cessna over the Hudson River. Woke me up around 4:20 AM. CBP was active as well, 260.9 active with the fighters.

There's activity right now on USCBP Air 1 (168.8375) regarding testing of video downlinks from CBP Omaha units.

NJSP TG 29264 is active right now with multi-agency radio tests. This appears to bea link from the NJSP TRS into the FBI FIO/NYC NYMAC/Statecom 11 patch that went active yesterday.

StateCom 11 is active once again on 700 MHz,this appears to be a multi agency channel being patched. Radio checks are in progress.

Re the AWACS: Are you seeing then on a flight tracker (they were doing orbit pattern yesterday near-shore) or via UHF? Please advise an if so kindly post UHF Freq if heard please. Heard them on 362.400 prior Superbowl as I recall....

What system/frequency are you hearing all of these on? I don't have digital and as far as I could tell most of these frequencies are usually digital? I'm a newb and looking to add some super bowl specific frequencies for the weekend.

@t13one12 if you have an analog trunking scanner you can monitor that patch on the "new jersey state police" trunked system talkgroup 29264. definitely will be able to monitor nypd highway ops 2 since they will be analog, but the only frequency for the highway division i see is 470.8125, no reference to channel 2 anywhere

Excellent thanks! I just loaded the NJSP trunked system into my scanner last night (it's been a long time since I've used trunking) so I'll triple check to make sure I have that talkgroup in there. Probably going to make a smaller list of talkgroups just for the weekend to avoid some of the standard patrol chatter.

Excuse my ignorance.
I have a Uniden Home Patrol, and I'd like to monitor some of the activity that is being discussed in a simple 1,2,3 fashion, as I never really did both take the time nor to fully understand the process other than to use the pre-defined items in the database, selectively make a favorites list and listen.
Specifically, does anyone have a ready to go database to use as my "Favorites" for monitoring the SuperBowl activity as discussed here? (i.e., 362.400, NJSP Talk Group, 470 DOITT, Federal Interops, etc.)
I already made a favorites with a bunch of NJ + State freq's, but what I am asking is does anyone have one already made to just input the file?
Oh, I also have 'Arc Patrol' software I use.
