So I'm at a bit of a loss in my situation and could use some help if someone has some insight on this issue.

Setup: HackRF - 32LNA 10VGA (tried a handfull of different combos)
Newest SDRTrunk 0.6 on Windows 10
Browning BR-6388 antena pointed directly at the repeater site with LoS/NLoS 9.7 miles away - State of Colorado DTRS Site: Lower Dowd Junction

Signal looks strong on software, control channel has no errors or what not, calls have sync loss with high signal (from the graph it's about the same as control freq signal).

I've attached two screenshots, one of the signal levels during calls and the control, left arrow is the control and right is a call. The second picture is a call's messages showing sync loss and a CRC (currently have a high VGA for the screenshot).
On the tuner I have auto decode adjust PPM enabled, it's about -0.7 out from looking at the decoder output, PPM is 0.0 when it's enabled to auto adjust. I tried manually setting the PPM with auto adjust disabled and still no change. It's also worth mentioning sample rate is 8mhz.

I'm at a bit of a loss to try, I had a temporary setup with short bunny ears at 45 degree angles and it was picking up calls generally better than the yagi so it's gotta be something with the software settings or something that I'm just overlooking.

Any help is much appreciated!

Quick update for this as I was able to talk to some fellow SDRTrunk folks. Seems like the space is crowded from close repeaters. I may have to drop the yagi and test out an omni as I hopped around repeaters around me and it seems the lower dowd site overtakes the surrounding frequencies but the calls drop sync loss from a control crc and signal crc failure (not sure if that's the right wording).

It's just a guess, but I suspect overload.

The HackRF has an ADC that is only 8-Bit, so its Dynamic Range is limited to about 50 dB.
